As the auction went on and the bidding became even more vicious, everyone was wondering how it was gonna be for item one especially after the rumours people had heard about the perfume from Original Classics.
Han Ziyou had been lucky enough to obtain three pieces of the items she wanted. The crazy billionaires didn't seem too fascinated by them but Han Ziyou knew what she would do with them.
The battle was still fierce of course but the mysteriousness of the person she was using to do her bidding intimidated people a little so many just gave in.
It was finally down to item two. Everyone held their breathes. It was soo quiet that you could hear a pin drop.
Everyone knew that right now only people willing to spend a hundred million dollars and more could stay in the fight.
The atmosphere was tense.
"Now for item number two."
The circular pad on the ground lifted revealing the glass containment system and inside lay an otherworldly perfume bottle.
At one glance , it is definitely made of baccarat crystal. Very crystal clear and refractive. The bottle was handcrafted into a complicated design of two hands. One hand was a delicate feminine hand while the other was a strong masculine hand. The hands were brought together and at the center was the bloom of the infamous Kadupul flower in handcrafted crystal of course and not the really bloom.
The bottle was extravagant with a gold base with intricate curvings and the bottle cap was a small olive sized five carat yellow diamond.
The bottle casing was set at the side. Itself made of rare Agharwood.
The bottle itself and casing alone could sell for a good sum.
However, it was the contents inside that had everyone's eyes blowing wide. Everyone shook from excitement.
As they saw the close up of the item on the huge screen behind the auctioneer, they all sucked a cold breathe.
Original Classics
"L'original, Le classique, Le parfait"
In English, it meant the original, the classic, the perfect. It was the catch phrase of Original Classics.
Other than those words, there was also "Queen of the Night." written on the perfume box.
Tang Boyi gave the perfume's introduction after its reveal, everyone was shaking because now the rumours had been confirmed.
Somehow magically, Original Classics had managed to extract the scent of the Kadupul flower.
As everyone was debating on how to obtain the bottle, Tang Boyi made a very pleasant announcement.
"As this is a serious perfume that will be sold, right now, handkerchiefs are being provided to each and everyone of you our dearest guests."
"The handkerchiefs are special as each and everyone of them has been sprayed with a sample of the Queen of the Night perfume."
"It is courtesy of Sun Auction House. A thank you from the Sun Auction House Chairman. Please feel free to enjoy the perfume's scent and carry the handkerchiefs home with you."
Everyone was momentarily stunned but they watched as servers walked around the whole room with trays containing wrapped up handkerchiefs.
Everyone was free to take one. They were sprayed with the perfume they were all desiring.
Everyone received their little souvenir and didn't waste a second longer to take a sniff of the handkerchiefs.
Everyone's eyes widened. The rich calming scent. Addictive with a touch of ambergris, oudwood and other rare ingredients that all together built up a strange but intoxicating scent.
Many people had never actually ever got the chance to smell the scent of the Queen of the Night flower with how it was rare and died easily so this sensation.
Everyone felt a sense of calmness wash over them at the scent and they could only sigh in awe. Their eyes turning red as they looked at the bottle of perfume.
The handkerchiefs were just a sample but that bottle was the whole package.
Han Ziyou nodded appreciatively. As expected of a top brand such as Original Classics. They made the impossible possible without compromising the product.
Tang Boyi smiled. Their chairman was truly too cunning. He gave everyone a taste of heaven and left them hanging.
Sadly for everyone else, only one person could leave with the perfume. There was no saying I will buy one from outside because the number of bottles that were made were limited and the brand itself chose whom it sold the perfumes to.
So unless the person the brand sold it to decided to sell it to you like the way the chairman of Sun Auction House was doing, you'd probably never handle the perfume in your whole lifetime.
Tang Boyi glanced at a certain private auction room and he felt a bit of intimidation just imagining the man seated in there.
No one was one hundred percent sure since it had all been rumours before but after learning that the chairman himself had come to welcome the person in that private auction room, it became more of the truth.
The most successful yet ruthless man in the business world had shown up to attend the Sun Auction House.
But Tang Boyi wondered why he hadn't bidded for anything yet. Was he waiting for item number one.
Tang Boyi thought that must be it. He returned his attention to the buyers and stated the starting price of the bid.
The price made everyone freeze for a moment. They had expected it to be high but still, those who couldn't afford it shook their heads regretfully.
They clung into the handkerchiefs tighter. This was probably the closest they would get to Queen of the Night.
Many eyes locked onto the starting price of the perfume.
'One hundred million dollars right off the bat.'
It was understandable seeing as the actual Kadupul or Queen of the Night flower was actually a priceless thing.
.....
As everyone debated on how far they'd go for that bottle of perfume, in the direction that Tang Boyi had looked.
In an exquisite private auction room, designed with comfortable lounge chairs that faced the one sided view window and a bar area even, there was even a flat screen television inbuilt into the wall with a bunch of PS at the side.
It was as if they had prepared in case the guest got bored as auction the took place. They could relax while waiting for the item of their desire.
Surprisingly though, there was a young man. He didn't look any older than seventeen years old. A typical teenager. He had charcoal black hair and soft hazel eyes.
He was currently in simple black pants and a white blouse which he threw a grey hoodie jumper over.
He was also considerably tall with a well toned body for someone his age. He was the type of person who would have girls at school fangirling him.
He was currently seated on a chair facing the television and he was doing exactly what the television was put there for, playing video games with the PS.
He looked to be enjoying himself a lot playing an RPG game. His expression kept changing as he played the game and when he finally won, he punched the air in excitement.
It was a ridiculous and strange sight. Outside that room, others were bidding like crazy to win items while this teenager was playing video games.
The teenager glanced at where the lounge chairs faced the one sided view glass.
There were two people sitted there. One an elderly man who seemed to have just clocked into his eighties.
He however looked younger than his age and his deep laugh could involuntarily give someone the impression that he was in his sixties.
He sat with an air of dominion and authority and anyone who saw him would lower their head of their own accord as they caught glance of his sharp gaze.
The other person who sat beside the elder man was younger though. He looked like he was in his late twenties or he had just turned thirty.
However, he was even more intimidating than the old man. If the old man was an intimidating lion, the other man was ancient dragon eyeing its prey and all other creatures in disdain and condension.
The man resembled the teenager to a big degree though he looked more mature himself.
Calm, collected, and devilishly handsome.
The facial features could leave an international model grovelling and kowtowing in awe.
Proportional face with sharp nose, dark thick eyebrows that could have hearts stopping anytime he cocked them up. Sharp eyes framed by dark thick eyelashes and with dark grey eyes.
Sharp jawline and dark near black coffee brown hair that was combed and brushed back into a neat style.
The man sat relaxed as his gazed looked out onto the auction stage.
His profound gaze remaining patient and unreadable.
He didn't even flinch to make any move to bid for the perfume. Clearly not interested.
He returned his gaze to the chessboard before him and the elderly man. It sat calmly on the coffee table glaring at the two players.
The young man lifted his hand and positioned his queen where he wanted.
He did it so casually you'd think he wasn't even bothered with the game. However, his one move secured his win.
"Check mate." The man said casually.
The Elderly man sitted opposite him looked at the board in disbelief. How the hell—he just shook his head in defeat.
"Long Feng Jian you rascal. How the hell do you keep winning me?" The elderly man released his grievances.
The man he had just addressed Long Feng Jian just smiled. It was a small smile. Cold but not arrogant that he would seem like he was disrespecting the elderly man.
"That's brother for you Elder Sun. Just when you think you're about to win. Boom! He crashes your hope." The teenager from before said with a laugh.
Elder Sun joined in the laughter.
"I'm not playing him again. Failure is not nice."
The teenager then turned his gaze to the man he addressed brother and complained childishly as if he wasn't a seventeen year old.
"Hey brother, are you done with buying what you came for? I'm getting really bored here." The teenager said as he chose the option of new game.
The person he was speaking to glanced at him coldly and he immediately shut up and pretended to be engrossed in the game.
'Wow. Brother has gotten even scarier since I left. I better not piss him off or he'll cut me off. Even more scary!"
(•~•')
"If your tired, why don't you head home instead of clinging to me like a baby." Long Feng Jian asked with a glance in his younger brother's direction.
The boy shook his head hurriedly while looking apologetically at his scary elder brother.
"I'm sorry brother. Please don't kick me out of your house. OK, I'll be good and keep my ideas to myself. Heck, I'll even start cooking your meals as long as my kind big brother is happy—"
Long Feng Jian raised a questioning brow at the sweet talker. "Keep quiet, you're becoming even more annoying. You better keep your destructive hands off my meals too."
"I don't like coal for supper."
The teenager looked wronged.
"Ohh come on brother. I can cook."
Long Feng Jian's gaze narrowed before he shook his head. "I think I should return you to military school for another year. You don't seem to have come out the way I expected."
"Ahhhhh—" the teenager was speechless.
Elder Sun laughed at the bickering siblings and he glanced at the teenager and said.
"Don't worry Haitian. I'll protect you from your scary brother. He won't be taking you to any military school if I have anything to do with it."
"I mean, if you leave, who will keep him from growing old too fast with how grumpy he is."
Elder Sun said before him and Long Haitian burst into laughter.
Long Feng Jian shook his head and ignored the two people trying to disturb him.
His gaze focused back in the bid that had become hot excessively.
