Lin Mu eyed him again , only this time like a Lion staring down at a cat who dared to impersonate it. He slowly stood, his expression calm but his eyes sharp. "I said, if you're going to talk big, at least make sure what your spouting isn't crap. Or is yapping[1] all you both are good for?"
" You b@stard!!!." Both Lang brothers expressions turned lived, throbbing veins evident on their faces.
The tension crackled like lightning. Thankfully, Before things could escalate further, Brother Wang and a few other Serinerians stepped in-between them. "Hey let's calm down everyone" he said firmly. "No point in battling it out now when where all already so tired, if you both are so eager to fight then just wait till tomorrow, alright?" He said before his ears suddenly twitched, his eyes squinting as he suddenly turned and gazed off into the distance.
" Besides..., it's looks like we've got an even bigger problem already on the way." He said with a sudden solemn demeanor.
As if to punctuate his words, a distant, guttural roar echoed across the desert. Every other head turned toward the sound, their earlier argument forgotten.
"What was that?" someone whispered.
Brother Wangs face darkened. "What else...., it's the Jebaki."
The name sent a ripple of unease through the group. Lin Mu who was the obviously not aware of what he meant glanced at him. "What's a Jebaki?"
" A bunch of reptilian raiders," Brother Wang said grimly. "Their a rival clan of ours. Cruel, relentless, and always looking for easy prey."
The roar came again, closer this time. The Serinerians scrambled to ready their weapons, forming a defensive circle around their mounts and supplies. Lin Mu gripped his weapon tightly, his heart pounding. Before Lin Mu could say a word, a holographic Screen emerged before his eyes.

The pill Lin Mu had been using till now to constantly increase his cultivation was the first tier Cultivation pill, The Blood Pill.
It's appearance was that of a small, crimson sphere the size of a marble, that gleams like a dewdrop of dawn light. When held, it pulses with gentle warmth, as if containing a tiny heartbeat within its translucent shell.
The surface has delicate swirling patterns that seem to flow like lazy rivers, and a subtle sweet-iron fragrance wafts from it. It's a basic cultivation pill that helps novice cultivators like Lin Mu, strengthen their mortal bodies and enrich their blood essence, laying the foundation for their first steps on the path to immortality.
The reason the system had been tasking him with killing more than one Body Refining Realm creature at a time to earn a chance of gaining one of this pill was because unlike other systems, the system wasn't as omnipotent as it seemed, Lin Mu had already guessed that to create the blood pill, the system needed actual ingredients to fabricate them, which is why whenever he killed something, it's corpse would break apart into countless glistening fragments and vanish into thin air.
Also, Unlike the Blood Pill, The Qi Condensation Pill was a Second tier cultivation pill instead. To those who had seen it before, it looked like a pearl-like pellet that shimmers with an ethereal, misty white glow. When light rays strikes its surface, it would refract them into tiny rainbow sparkles, as if containing fragments of the very energy of the heavens.
When held in ones grasp, The pill feels cool to the touch and seems to hum with a barely perceptible vibration. A light, crisp scent reminiscent of mountain air and morning dew would always emanate from it.
This foundational pill assists junior disciples in gathering and refining the natural qi of the world within their newly formed dantain during their breakthrough to the Qi Condensation Realm.

Though the stages where fewer, The gab between each of them was like comparing a Sedan to a Mac truck!. Just the gab between Body Refining Realm and Qi Condensation Realm was even more insane!, like pitting a new edition Bugatti Veyron against a Dodge Hell cat SRT in a race!.
" Just when I thought we were finally making progress in our relationship you just had to go and spout shit again!!!." Lin Mu's face turned exasperated. Though the idiot didn't really realize how cringe what he'd just said was.

Before the arrow could vanish, Lin Mu's right hand moved like a phantom and grabbed it before it could cut farther into his skin.

His hands clenched around the wooden arrow, it's sharp metallic head felt chilling to the touch when he rubbed his thumb against it's surface.

A self mocking smile creeped onto Lin Mu's lips, his eyes staring at the arrow before staring back at the so called Jebaki's who were kicking up a dust storm as they approached from the far distance.
The shadows on the horizon grew larger, resolving into over 20 figures with muscular, blue scale covered humanoid forms, armed with crude but deadly weapons while approaching on their mounts which looked like horse sized monitor lizards. Both riders and mounts had savage expressions, eyes glinting with visible blood lust as they approached at top speed.
The Jebaki had arrived, and their intentions were very much clear to the Serinerian hunting party.
