"Listen to you," Ningguang chuckled, giving him a playful glare. "Where would I find anyone who serves me as well as you?"

"I'm getting old," Lucas sighed, his tone carrying a hint of self-mockery. "Not as good as I used to be. I've already reached the age of knowing one's fate—halfway to being an old man."

Though Lucas had passed fifty, his extraordinary power had kept him looking no older than his mid-thirties. If he wished, he could make himself appear even younger.

"An old man? You?" Yelan poked her head out from under the covers, licking her lips as sweat glistened on her forehead. "Then explain why you lasted this long."

"Who told you that you could stop?" Lucas's tone turned cold. "Keep going. Not done until I say so."

"…Understood~"

Despite his sudden change in demeanor, Yelan showed no sign of displeasure. In fact, she seemed to enjoy it. Without hesitation, she dove back under the blankets, resuming her work with eager determination.

Her masochistic tendencies hadn't faded over the years.

The harsher and colder Lucas was toward her, the more excited she became.

As Ningguang lay against Lucas's chest, she asked softly, "So, what's your next move? Whether it's the Sustainer of Heavenly Principles or The Doctor, I don't want them staying in the Jade Chamber."

"What's this?" Lucas teased. "Are you jealous of The Doctor?"

"Hardly." Ningguang playfully poked his chest. "If I were jealous of anyone… it would be The Lady.

"After all… when you weren't staying at the Jade Chamber, you were living with her, weren't you?"

Lucas cleared his throat awkwardly. "That's because you and Yelan both… have a few inconvenient days every month. And somehow, it's always at the same time."

It was said that when two women spent a great deal of time together, their cycles would begin to synchronize.

Though he wasn't sure if it was scientifically true, Ningguang and Yelan were certainly proof of the theory.

"Excuses," Ningguang laughed. "Even if I'm unavailable, there are plenty of other ways to keep you occupied.

"But whatever. I won't stop you. Go if you want."

Before Lucas could respond, his expression suddenly stiffened, his body trembling for a brief moment.

Ningguang's smile faded. "What's wrong?"

"…Nothing." Lucas exhaled slowly. "I just… finished."

Ningguang frowned. "You act like it's never happened before. For a second, I thought you were about to pass out."

"Yelan!" Lucas's face flushed with embarrassment. "Just now—what the hell did you do?!"

Yelan emerged from beneath the covers, grinning smugly.

"Well? Impressed?" she said proudly. "That was my latest technique—High-Speed Vacuum Extraction."

Lucas blinked. "That was… impressive. Where did you even learn that?"

"From a book written by Takuya, a master from Inazuma—One Hundred Ways to Please Your Partner."

She sighed wistfully. "Such a shame he died young. If he had lived longer, I'm sure he would've developed even more amazing techniques."

"…I see." Lucas fell into thoughtful silence for a moment.

Then, without another word, he got dressed.

"I have business to attend to," he said, turning to leave.

"So soon?" Yelan pouted. "I still had more techniques to try…"

"…Ahem."

Ningguang coughed lightly, her face slightly flushed.

"That last move… could you teach me?"

Yelan's grin widened mischievously. "Of course~"

"But…" she leaned in close, her voice dripping with amusement. "I'll have to use you as my practice dummy."

A strange series of sounds echoed from Ningguang's room.

For a floating pavillion, the term "underground laboratory" was rather strange.

Of course, this lab wasn't truly underground—it was merely well-hidden.

Lucas had spent a great deal of effort persuading Ningguang to allow its construction within the Jade Chamber.

"Yo, you're here," The Doctor greeted him with a knowing smile. "I figured you wouldn't be able to resist."

"After all… we're dealing with the body of the Sustainer of Heavenly Principles."

As Lucas turned to look, his eyes widened in shock.

The once-proud and almighty woman…

Now lay restrained on the experiment table.

Her body—pierced with countless tubes—continuously extracted a strange, unknown fluid from within her.

It wasn't blood.

And for The Doctor, nothing was more fascinating than the unknown.

But The Doctor merely laughed, unfazed by her threats.

In fact, she only became more intrigued.

"Your body…" she murmured, running a gloved hand along one of the tubes.

"…defies so many of our known scientific principles.

"If I'm right, we might be able to extract an infinite energy source from you."
