'Good thing I have those wisps of cleansing…' he thought to himself before digging in, the corpse of his fallen foe hadn't even begun to grow cold when Edrick's teeth sunk into its fur and flesh, like he was the main protagonist of that one Francisco Goya painting, biting through the white sasquatch's skull and pulling harshly, the bones in its neck producing popping noises.

Like a savage beast, Anoteros gorged himself on every single part of the great primate, be it the eyes that were crushed in between the molars, chewing the tongue down or feasting on the brain after opening the skull up, he was intent on not leaving a single strand of fur or shard of bone behind, making full use of the powerful jaw his transformation granted him to grind everything down.

Leaving the heart of last, squeezing every drop of blood out of it above his open mouth before chomping down on the vital organ.

'Doesn't taste half bad' he commented to himself, licking his fingers clean as the system appeared before him.

It simply displayed, making the transformed Edrick raise an eyebrow, this had not actually been on his bingo card, having been told that bloodlines were rare and exotic, the only person he knew that possessed a bloodline was Fanqia, and she had possessed it innately, so it was something unique.

However, what Anoteros had just done was that he had taken it straight from the source, Mountain Sasquatch Body had led him here because it had resonated with the bloodline.

This was huge, tremendously huge, this could very well earn him a ticket straight into turning the technique into a physique as well, he had already felt that it was possible before, but with an appropriate bloodline to go with it, there was no doubt that he would be achieving it in the near future.

Without him having to will it, the system decided to display the information regarding this bloodline, which was beyond handy, without the system, Edrick wouldn't have known what it was all about.

One would be tempted to assume that it would just a mountain sasquatch bloodline, but creature's which bloodline could be extracted with such ease were inherently special, any animal, beast, monster or person that could have their bloodline earned through being consumed simply had to have either accomplished something extraordinary, or having been born different from their kin.

It was probable that the white sasquatch belonged to the second category.

Added the system afterwards whilst Edrick was reading through the description, it was quite something and provided much more boons than he had expected, Anoteros had imagined that it would be a one-time boost and perhaps given some greater affinity for sasquatch-related techniques, but this had straight-up given granted new abilities.

Without lingering around, Edrick breathed in, imitating how the white sasquatch had done it, and roared with the intent to produce an attack, his bestial vocalisation carrying far through the quiet woods, the aftermath was similar for him as it had been for the former ruler of this territory, his lungs felt strained and he had to take some time to catch his breath properly.

Though, it seemed like the white sasquatch's size and greater lung capacity had been an advantage, as the roar that Anoteros produced was nowhere near as powerful, it was a potent sound wave, and would probably momentarily deafen someone at close range, but nothing that should be actually lethal on a whim, coupled with the drawback of using it, he would have to practice to get it anywhere near a level that would actually make usable in a fight.

The parts regarding authority and reproduction were interesting, the former was probably due to its status as a lord…

'Say, are you the one who gave the bloodline its name?' he asked to make sure that it just wasn't the system letting its imagination run wild.

'I see…' so then, the white sasquatch was indeed considered a lord, which totally explained why it would have authority over other sasquatches, Edrick wasn't certain why that also included some other ape species, but that was great as well, he would be able to exert it over more than a single type of creature.

As for the latter, it probably was simply a consequence of acquiring a bloodline in general, Anoteros understood it as bloodline being related to DNA in some manner or form, so it was only sensical.

Same went for the ability to pass on some sasquatch genes.

As for the cannibalism one… It was a real boon, the bonuses may be minuscule, but free stuff was free stuff, though he wondered if that would apply to only humans, only sasquatches, or both, he presumed the last possibility as he was now technically both at the same time.

'Now, what are the changes about exactly?' Edrick looked at his hairy body, looking for any changes, and then guessed that maybe he would need to sort-of 'refresh' his transformation to notice the difference.

The moment he manually circulated his internal energy, he felt it, the flow was much smoother, much swifter than before, and as though it was obvious, he instantly understood what he could do now.

It was nothing major, but it spelled good news for the amount of time he would be needing to push this cultivation technique into a physique, he could not better control the transformation, how soft or rough his fur was, how long it was, where it would grow and most noticeably, he could turn his fur completely white now, turning into what almost looked like a holy sasquatch.

Without the dirt and grimes, the white sasquatch would have been truly majestic.

'I could probably divert some attention with this…' he turned back toward the large cave that was now without any owner, the former lord was now nothing but a vague red stain on the ground, the territory was without master, and it surely wouldn't take too long until the formerly scared creatures would reclaim the area for themselves.

Or not, Anoteros had a great idea, and decided to cover the scent left all over the place with his own, making it clear that the surroundings had been claimed by a new sasquatch, some beast and monsters would probably still check to see if the new guy was as awful as the previous one, but that was fine with Edrick.

He rubbed his hands together and decided to head back for today, this new development wasn't much of a problem, as he had already been planning on going to the woods every day to play with Muxing, this shouldn't put any wrench in his schedule.

Right now however, he should focus on cultivating Mountain Sasquatch Body, he would probably make great progress thanks to the bloodline.
