CHAPTER 35

"I don't think he can reject her." Ramon was the first to speak, taking a band to wrap his white dreads at the back.

Xavian looked at him.

"What do you mean?"

"I saw the way she looked at you. Xavian, she is more than a caregiver, and I honestly don't know how to explain it." Ramon breathed out. "You know how some mates tend to have a stronger bond at first spark compared to others?"

Viktor dropped a hand under his chin, invested.

"What about that?" Xavian asked.

Ramon poured himself a glass of wine, downing half of it.

"I think that's the case with you too," he said. "For a human, she feels the bond strongly, which, from what I have studied once, human mates don't feel the bond as strongly as our kinds do. But she does. She feels it as much as you do, Xavian, which, to be honest, is actually rare. And that brings me to the point that you rejecting her will be harder than you think, and I am worried for you."
