Lucas stared at Adam who sat on the couch, head in his palms.
"Sir…why did we have to move?"
Adam didn't answer him, instead, kept slowly pulling at a few strands of his hair. He drew in deep breaths and lifted his head to glance at the younger man.
"He knows I'm here. I-I shouldn't have gone to see him, you shouldn't have made me," he signed. "My sister saw me too. I can't get anything done, they'll come to find me, I know."
Lucas smirked, biting his bottom lip in confusion. "W-we could still do the job and leave quickly?"
"I really don't want to do this…" Adam shook his head.
"But the…alpha, he'll…"
"Xavian loves that human," he signed.
Lucas furrowed his brows. "How would you know…that?"
"I felt it," he responded. "It's a twin thing…I don't know. I can tell when he's happy or sad, or how he even feels about someone. If I hate someone, I know he can tell, so I can too."
