"It's not like that." Xavian shook his head. "And why didn't you pick my calls or answer my messages? You drive me insane." 

Poppy stared at him, so much close to keeling over for him again, and as if something snapped her out of that trance, a seething anger burned in her eyes behind those frames. "Get out, Xavian."

"Why? Why should I? You'd rather have him here, is that it?" 

"You don't know what you've done." 

"And what is it?"

"You're ruining my life, every part of it. Ever since I met you, my life is falling apart, I'm losing everything and it's all because of you! I don't want you here, not now and not ever! I'm done with you." 

"You can never be done with me," Xavian growled. "Ever. Not even in your fucking dreams." 

She huffed, and before he knew, her knee was colliding with his groin, causing him to grunt, almost dropping to his knees. Hands gripped tighter on her wrist and his eyes locked with hers, a smirk on her lips.
