Growing up, Poppy had always been that kid very heavily protected by her parents. They loved her all too much, and even when they felt like anything other then homeschooling would be a threat to her life, they did everything they could to make sure she was comfortable.
She had always been happy, I mean who wouldn't be when they had such wonderful kinds of parents. But things changed when she began coming of age, and it wasn't in the sense that her parents didn't love her. It was in the sense that she began losing her freedom, tied to something she didn't want to be tied.
But that was no excuse, it would never be an excuse, because in the end, it was all her fault. Her parents died because of her. If she had just gone back to Manuel Kane, they would still be alive, if she had just been obedient.
