Adam sprinted to him, falling in front of him. "Xavian. Xavian, look at me." He cupped his cheek, forcing him to focus on him.
Xavian's eyes were hooded with pain, hand reaching to grab his twin. Everything was blurry and in two forms.
"I can't…I can't breathe. Adam…I can't…"
"I know, I know." Adam nodded at him. "But I need you to breathe, okay. You can't die, you can't…You can't leave me. You can't…"
"Poppy…" Xavian breathed heavily. "My…mate. Poppy, w-where—where is she? They took her from me." He looked around, eyes running over for her.
Adam assured him with nods. "She's fine. Ramon is taking care of her. You don't have to worry. No one has taken her from you, not even me. She'll be fine and I'm going to help you, so please…breathe." He stood to his feet, threw Xavian's arm over his shoulder, and began to walk him out of there.
