Peter rushed me to the hospital without hesitation. He only relaxed once the X-rays confirmed I had no major injuries.
As I saw his worried expression soften, I expressed my heartfelt appreciation, "I can't thank you enough for your help today, Mr. Shao."
"It's my responsibility to look after everyone," he replied matter-of-factly with a slight nod. "It's nearly six. I'll drive you back so you can rest."
I followed Peter back to my lodgings. After a quick meal, I fell into bed and drifted off to sleep.
The incident seemed to have made Peter even more vigilant. In the days that followed, he kept a close eye on our activities, as if trying to prevent any further mishaps. The remainder of the trip passed without incident.
As the tour concluded and everyone prepared to depart, Peter unexpectedly called out to me.
"If you're interested in another tour, reach out to me directly—I can offer you a discount."
