Chapter 20: Plan to Save Friend

Claudia was forced to postpone her conversation with Alice. Moreover, all members of this community idolize Harry because he is very handsome and intelligent when it comes to strategizing. However, only Alice doesn't really like Harry because she heard rumors that Harry had killed people.

Claudia put on a shy smile while looking at all her friends. "That's how newlywed couples usually make out."

Larissa chuckled in amazement while resting her chin on her palm. "Is it true that Harry really is a very romantic type of man? As far as I remember, he was the type of guy who was very indifferent to anyone."

Davina nodded. "It's not just that he's indifferent, basically he's never been interested in women. Even Vivian who wants to be matched with Harry–"

Davina's lips were immediately covered tightly by a woman who looked younger, named Arabella. Arabella kicked Davina's leg lightly. "Lower your voice if you want to talk about Vivian."

For Claudia, there was no need to cover up about Vivian. As far as he knew when reading this novel, Vivian's character was no less cruel than Harry. Even innocently, she really supported Vivian marrying Harry. However, Harry chose not to marry Vivian because she was not interested in a woman, especially a cunning woman. This made Claudia think that Harry liked the same sex.

As a humble noblewoman, Claudia raised her right hand while looking at Arabella. "It's okay, Arabella. What Davina wanted to talk about was true. "The woman Harry is suitable to marry should be Vivian, not me."

Davina looked down nervously. "I'm sorry, Claudia. "When you married Harry, I shouldn't have talked about that woman any more."

"Besides, now I want to prove that I am more worthy of being Harry's wife than Vivian." For a moment, Claudia gracefully sipped herbal tea. "Harry loves me so much it's like a valuable treasure to him."

"But, why don't you go on your honeymoon? Don't newlyweds usually like to have fun after getting married?" asked Larissa.

"Because I don't want to let my and my husband's work be neglected. Besides, I still want to hang out with you guys."

Actually, the statement is the opposite of what is true. In fact, it was Claudia who wanted to go on her honeymoon, but Harry immediately refused because he was not interested in doing so. If the true incident were known to all members of this community, they would be laughed at and embarrassed.

Larissa stretched out her right hand with a friendly smile. "Anyway, once again I congratulate you. "Actually, at that time I was present at your wedding ceremony, but I hid because you know the royal family is very strict even though the groom is one of the palace ministers."

*****

This meeting was held for quite a long time, so Claudia started to feel bored. At first she thought this meeting was supposed to be fun, but it turned out to be boring when discussing the event they were going to hold to help ordinary people.

In accordance with previous promises, Claudia invited Alice to chat at an elite restaurant specifically for nobles. Claudia didn't care what Alice would talk about not having dinner with Harry, because the mission of saving people's lives was much more important now than conquering Harry's heart.

"By the way, this is the first time you have invited me to have dinner alone with you," said Alice while sipping corn soup.

"Actually, I've wanted to get to know you better for a long time."

Alice almost choked when she heard an unusual word coming from Claudia's lips. Even at this moment, she still thought Claudia was acting in front of her.

"Actually, I still don't understand what's on your mind right now. Suddenly you act nice in front of me as if you have hidden intentions."

"Have you been communicating with Harry lately?"

Alice raised her right eyebrow. "Why do you ask suddenly? You yourself know that my relationship with Harry is not that close, right?"

"Yes I know. But, who knows, maybe Harry might even ask you to meet him."

"Don't you suspect that I am your husband's mistress!"

Claudia's eyes widened. "Impossible. I believe Harry couldn't possibly cheat on me."

Claudia didn't want this nonsensical conversation to get too deep. Almost forgetting the main topic she wanted to discuss was Alice's slightly bruised cheek. If Harry wasn't the culprit, then who hurt Alice?

"Alice, if for example you need someone to talk to, you can look for me."

"Actually, why are you paying attention to me suddenly? Since before you got married, you also asked the same thing as if you knew the future."

It is true that Claudia knows the future as a result of reading this novel. However, if she told Alice the truth that he came from another world, Alice would probably send him to a mental hospital.

"I just relied on my instincts. Moreover, you don't usually walk until you hit a wall." Claudia raised her right eyebrow. "I know you are the type of woman who is not easily careless and is a perfectionist."

Alice didn't think Claudia was the indifferent type of woman, but her eyesight was very sharp. However, because she is a perfectionist type of woman, she doesn't want just anyone to interfere in her affairs.

"Am I going to look perfect all the time? I'm human, humans aren't perfect, right?"

Claudia looked at Alice while tilting her head forward. "During this week, I suggest you don't leave the house at night."

"So what? Are you afraid I'll be kidnapped?" Alice laughed awkwardly while wiping her lips with a handkerchief.

"Anyway, don't act too much at night. Then, if you feel like someone wants to harm you, call me or Sarah. We will protect you."

Alice folded her arms while crossing her legs. "There is no need to act as a hero. You just take care of yourself and your husband. I'm not a kid anymore!"

"It's for your own good, Alice! I don't want to lose a good friend like you!"
