The cord was the present he had given to Wanda. She had once vowed to him that she would wear it for the rest of her days.

Eric couldn't accept it. He was unable to comprehend that the woman who had been embracing him just that morning was now this lifeless, cold body.

As he crouched on the ground, he stared vacantly into space as if his entire being had been emptied of its essence.

All of a sudden, his shaking hands reached out as he attempted to clean the blood from the body's face. However, there was an overwhelming amount of blood. No matter how much he tried, he couldn't remove it all.

Suddenly, he got to his feet, whispering to himself, "This can't be my Wanda. My Wanda is at home waiting for me."

He hurriedly brushed off all the journalists who tried to question him, then he dashed to the parking garage and drove his vehicle towards his residence.

Upon arrival, his son, Ben, was in the living area playing with construction toys.
