Wright also heard the sound of the dragon horn, feeling the vibration of the magic in the air as the horn's sound made the magic surge.
"Magical item!"
After launching another explosive fireball into Meereen, Wright saw that the war elephants had mostly been dealt with, with only a few still struggling on the ground, their legs severed and no longer able to fight. He then summoned his skeletal horse, Arvak, and charged towards the source of the sound.
A dozen soldiers pushed open the heavy golden gates of the great pyramid, and Water buffalo and White skeleton drove a cart through the gates.
"Go!" Water buffalo cracked his whip, and the two horses pulling the cart sped down the main road of Meereen. On the bumpy flatbed behind, White skeleton held a spear and shield in a defensive stance, while Daenerys, locked to a cross, screamed in agony as the cart shook.
At the Golden Company's logistics camp, Drogon sensed Daenerys's pain and became agitated.
"Master! Wright is charging towards the camp!" A messenger from the mountain ridge rode down, shouting.
Wright had broken through the lines. Behind him, tens of thousands of Dothraki riders followed at a distance. They didn't dare get too close, only tracking him to wear down his stamina and magic. From afar, the dust stirred up by the horses resembled a sandstorm, heading towards the camp.
"Hurry! Feed the three dragons Might and get them airborne. Everyone else, prepare the defense!" Euron said as he mounted his white horse, only to see Euron and the others already riding off with the dragon horn. "Cowards!"
The soldiers, who usually only fed the dragons a small bottle of Strength each day during training, now brought out chunks of cooked meat, pouring three bottles of Strength over each piece before feeding them to the dragons.
After consuming Might, Drogon, Rhaegal, and Viserion immediately became energized, flapping their wings and spewing fire into the air.
"Rhaegal! Lead them to Daenerys!" Euron held out Daenerys's clothing for the dragons to smell, and, with their instinctive magic connection to the dragon riders, gave the command.
The largest of the dragons, Drogon, could barely carry an adult, and though its strength was enough for flying, it struggled with turns, let alone fighting. However, Daenerys was light enough that Drogon could carry her back without issue.
"Go! Take off!" Euron shouted, stepping back.
The three dragons, after consuming Might, flapped their wings and soared into the sky, flying toward Meereen. Rhaegal tried to make a detour, but Drogon, as if in a frenzy, flew straight towards Meereen along the shortest path. The three dragons roared at each other in the air, with Drogon, the strongest and fiercest, leading the way.
"No! Not that way!"
Euron saw the dragons turning and hurriedly rode his horse out of the defensive position towards the hillside, watching helplessly as the dragons flew in the direction of Wright.
Wright, riding his horse at full speed, constantly scanned his surroundings, his magic sensing extended to a range of nearly 400 meters. Suddenly, three dragons appeared from the ridge in the distance.
"Hahaha!" Wright laughed out loud.
His consciousness delved into his body, recalling how, as a child in King's Landing, he absorbed seven dragon souls. He had killed Rahgot in the ruins and absorbed twelve more. After considering his usage, he realized he still had ten dragon souls left. He activated three of them, staring at the three dragons in the sky. "Dragonrend is ready for you!"
The Dragonrend spell, a Dragonborn magic designed to combat dragons during the Dragon War, could attack the dragon's soul, temporarily weakening it and preventing flight. Once the magic wore off, the dragon would recover. As the saying goes, a fallen dragon was no better than a chicken, and once a dragon was grounded, warriors could attack it with axes and spears.
The three dragons, fueled by Strength, were flying swiftly, and Wright easily recognized their colors from the ground.
If nothing went wrong, Daenerys should have a magical connection with Drogon. Wright looked up at the black dragon leading the way and inhaled deeply before shouting, "Joor~~Zah~~Frul~!"
A pale blue magical orb shot out from Wright's mouth, ascending rapidly. Drogon saw a bright object coming toward it and was about to descend to spit fire when the orb struck Drogon directly.
Ha~~~
Drogon screamed in pain as magic surged within its body, tormenting its soul and causing its muscles to ache. The spell also drew on the surrounding air magic, putting pressure on Drogon's body. Unable to maintain flight, Drogon struggled to flap its wings as it descended onto the main road.
After landing, the pain subsided slightly. The attack enraged Drogon, which folded its wings and began crawling toward Wright. When it closed the distance, Drogon opened its mouth, releasing a stream of golden dragonfire aimed at Wright.
The flame was narrow, but Wright easily leaped from his horse, evading it, while Arvak was burned and jumped frantically, disappearing once again back to its home.
Wright jumped, using his left hand with the Mage Hand spell to grab the black dragon's head and yank it toward him, propelling himself quickly forward. As the black dragon raised its head, attempting to use dragonfire again, Wright was already right in front of it.
Boom!
"Ahh~~"
With three layers of magical defense and the tremendous force granted by the system, Wright punched the black dragon's eye socket with his left fist. The dragon's head crashed into the ground, and it couldn't breathe fire anymore. The bones around its eye were shattered, and its eyeball, along with the surrounding muscles, were torn away by the hooks on Wright's gauntlet.
Wright then stepped back two paces, placed his left foot down for leverage, and delivered a powerful kick to the dragon's chin, sending its head and neck flying high into the air.
Gripping his greatsword with both hands, Wright spun and slid beneath the dragon's neck. With a swift swing of his sword, the black dragon's head hit the ground as Wright moved to the other side of its neck. Blood spurted from the severed neck as the dragon's head tumbled away.
"No!" The Golden Company members on the mountain shouted in despair, blood dripping from their wounds.
The dragon's blood sprayed onto the ground, emitting thick smoke. Wright swiftly turned, sliding to dodge another blast of dragonfire. He swung his sword diagonally toward the sky, sending a crimson sword aura slicing through the air. The green dragon's left wing was severed in midair, causing it to lose balance and crash to the side, sending dust flying.
The black dragon's soul emerged from its corpse, being drawn into Wright's body in tendrils. To the ordinary onlookers, the black dragon's body began burning, quickly reduced to a skeleton within seconds.
After absorbing the black dragon's soul, Wright ran to the green dragon's side. He braced himself against its dragonfire, thrusting his greatsword into its mouth and piercing through its skull.
"Only one left!" Wright shouted.
The white dragon, seeing its two siblings killed, was now frightened and fled toward the mountains.
"Joor~~Zah~~Frul~!" Wright cast Dragonrend again, the spell hitting the white dragon as it plummeted toward the valley below.
After confirming the white dragon's location, Wright stood still, ready to absorb its soul. His helmet's narrow vision allowed him to see distant cavalry retreating. Just as he was speculating on their next move, a dozen purple lightning bolts descended from the sky.
Unlike normal lightning, the purple bolts did not bend, but shot down straight and precisely toward Wright's body.
Immediately after, a series of purple flames rained down from the sky, engulfing Wright and the green dragon's corpse.
"Ahh~~!" Wright screamed in agony. This was an ambush from beyond his detection range!
In the sky above, a massive ancient dragon flew silently past Wright's head. Its body was over 200 meters long, with a wingspan nearing 300 meters, its cruel horns marking it as a fearsome ancient beast.
"Invincible!"
"Ha ha ha ha!" The combined forces of the anti-Baratheon alliance and the Dothraki roared in celebration, but their joy was short-lived.
People looked to the sky and saw the dragon's sickly green body, its scales scattered and missing in places, revealing patches of bone beneath. Its wings were torn and leaking air, making it impossible to comprehend how it could fly, let alone remain alive.
The black smoke trailing behind the dragon was not fire. After the dragon flew past, the smoke descended and dispersed. When it landed on people's armor and skin, they realized it was a foul green fungus, with countless tiny parasitic insects crawling on it.
As the smoke settled on them, blisters immediately formed on their skin, and those who breathed it in collapsed in agony. The insects jumped from one person to another, spreading the fungi and parasites.
"Ahh~~!" Screams echoed everywhere.
This infection did not discriminate between friend or foe. Dothraki, Golden Company, and members of the anti-Baratheon alliance were all paralyzed, some writhing on the ground in pain, others fleeing toward the sea.
