Not long after Eden returned home in the first place, the cat Ethan and I had disappeared.
I checked the CCTV and Eden sneakily fed the cat milk and hid a knife.
She turned her head to the camera and smiled a creepy, creepy smile.
‘It was definitely Eden! She's just crazy!’
I showed Ethan the surveillance and he was unmoved:
‘What are you so mad about again, Eden loves the cat so much, how could she hurt it?’
‘Besides, the video is so blurry, who knows if it's a PS?’
I'm speechless. What did Eden put in his head? Why is he so biased in her favour?
Good thing I found the cat, it was lying under the table with an injured paw and a broken leg, wailing.
I was heartbroken and went to Ethan with the cat in my arms:
‘See, I was right, wasn't I? It was Eden who did it!’
Eden was there, and she glanced at the cat in my arms and was the first to speak:
‘Skylar, you snatched the cat hard, but it's got nothing to do with me, don't spit blood!’
I was furious, she was the one who hurt the cat, and she's still trying to get back at me?
Without waiting for me to say anything, Ethan said viciously:
‘Skylar, are you done? The cat is hurt and you're still throwing a tantrum?’
Now, half a month had passed.
I was floating above them.
Ethan is holding Eden, sitting in a chair across from me.
Eden is sitting on Ethan's lap with her arms around his neck, the two of them pressed together in an ambiguous position.
‘Ethan, she's gone, you can finally be completely mine.’
Ethan hugged her tightly and gave her a kiss on the cheek:
‘Baby, it's been too long waiting for you.’
The two of them were so in love with each other that they couldn't see me at all.
I watched their actions and was furious!
I wanted to rush up and tear them apart!
Just then, Ethan's assistant rushed into the office in a hurry:
‘Ethan, the police just called, saying that they found a woman's body in the desert and asked us to take a statement.’
Ethan was impatient and clung to Eden unwillingly:
‘Just tell them I'm not available, I'm not going!’
The assistant looked at Eden with difficulty and wanted to say something.
Eden pretended to be shy and pushed Ethan away:
‘Ethan, go ahead and get busy, I'll wait for you at the hotel.’
Ethan kissed and kissed her on the cheek until the assistant pushed him again, then he reluctantly let go of Eden.
Before leaving, Ethan took Eden's hand and said reluctantly:
‘Baby, I'll find you when I'm done, you go back to the hotel and wait for me first, okay?’
Eden blushed in shame, nodded and obediently left.
Ethan glanced at my corpse, frowned impatiently, and took off in stride.
The police took Ethan to the interrogation room and asked seriously:
‘Ethan, Skylar has been missing for half a month, she was last seen with you, do you know where she is?’
Ethan replied absently:
‘I don't know, she often disappears into thin air and comes back in a few days.’
The cop sighed and pulled out a picture of me falling to my death in the desert:
‘And do you recognise this person?’
Ethan glanced at it and replied in disbelief:
‘Recognise, it's my wife Skylar.’
‘And did you know she was dead?’
Ethan's eyes widen in disbelief:
‘Dead? That can't be possible! How could she be dead?’
The policeman looked at him gravely and continued his questioning:
‘Half a month ago, you were with her, do you know where she went or not?’
Ethan began to panic as he shook his head and gestured with his hands:
‘I don't know! We had a fight and she got angry and ran away, I have no idea where she went!’
‘Then why didn't you call the police?’
‘I ...... thought she was just having a tantrum and would be back in a few days ......’
The police sighed, they had no evidence and there was nothing they could do with Ethan.
Ethan was dead set against believing that I was dead, insisting that I was just missing.
The police couldn't do anything with him, so they let him go.
Ethan breathed a sigh of relief, straightened his clothes, and took off in stride.
I floated next to him, looking at his smug face, wanting to rush up and tear him apart!
But I couldn't even touch him.
