Daniel strode back and forth, his forehead creased as he examined the bar hotel layout spread on the table. The atmosphere was tense, yet charged with a peculiar mix of anxiety and excitement.
"I've made my decision," Daniel announced, lifting his gaze to meet ours. "Calix and Blake will be the ones to enter. You two will dress as women to approach Gregor Fitzburg."
A brief hush fell over the room before Chlyrus erupted in laughter.
"Calix in high heels?" he guffawed, holding his sides. "Now that's a sight I can't miss."
Calix crossed his arms, scowling. "Laugh all you want, Chlyrus. I'd like to see you attempt this."
"Take it easy," Blake said with a smirk. "At least I've got the facial structure for it."
Calix sighed heavily. "I'm just saying... I doubt I can convincingly play a woman. It's not exactly my forte."
Unable to contain myself, I leaned in. "If Calix isn't up to it, I'll take his place."
Daniel raised an eyebrow. "Daphne, are you aware of how risky this is?"
