Awakening the Energy

Awakening the Energy

Dani stared at the pile of minerals Emma had extracted, his thoughts racing. They were breathtaking, shimmering with latent power, but the question remained—how to harness their energy?

"Let's see," he muttered, activating his Mind's Eye skill. His vision shifted as information about the minerals flooded his mind.

System Notification:

These minerals can be used as an energy source if heated to an extremely high temperature.

Dani frowned, scratching his head. "High temperature… but how high? I don't exactly have industrial-grade equipment lying around."

Noticing his expression, Tanis leaned closer, her piercing eyes scanning his face. "You're thinking too hard," she teased.

Dani sighed. "I need to heat these minerals to a ridiculously high temperature to make them usable. But I don't have anything—"

Before he could finish, Tanis smirked, her form glowing faintly. In a flash, she shifted into her massive dragon form, her golden scales shimmering in the cave's dim light.

"You forget who you're traveling with," she said, her voice deeper and more commanding. "Step back."

Dani and Emma took several steps away as Tanis positioned herself before the minerals. She took a deep breath, and with a thunderous roar, unleashed a torrent of blazing fire from her mouth. The intense heat enveloped the minerals, bathing the cave in a fiery glow.

The flames roared for what felt like an eternity, and Dani shielded his eyes from the brightness. Slowly, the fire subsided, leaving the minerals glowing with a soft, radiant light.

System Notification:

The minerals have been charged and are now ready for use as an energy source.

Dani's eyes widened as he read the notification. "It worked…" he whispered, a mix of awe and relief washing over him.

Tanis reverted to her humanoid form, a satisfied grin on her face. "That should do it," she said, brushing her hands together. "You'll learn to trust us eventually."

Dani stepped forward, inspecting the glowing minerals. "This… this is incredible. Thank you, Tanis. You just made the impossible possible."

Emma chuckled softly. "It seems you're starting to realize just how lucky you are, Dani."

Dani gave a sheepish smile. "Yeah, I guess I am."
