A few hours later, Logan carried Selina out of the bathroom, her body limp with exhaustion, teetering on the edge of sleep.
She mumbled softly, "Don't forget… to settle the score with the Clark Family…"
Logan's lips curled into a faint smile.
Still complaining in her sleep—what a little grudge-holder.
He leaned down and whispered, "Don't worry, Mrs. Reid. Tomorrow, I'll go with you to the Clark Family. Let's make sure James loses sleep over it too."
Only then did Selina settle down, her breathing evening out.
Logan glanced at his phone, tucked her in, and quietly left the room.
Even he had to admit—there was something despicable about what he was doing.
Despising the Carter Family on one hand, yet needing their name to keep her by his side.
But it didn't matter.
