Selina went silent at the phrase "a friendship across generations."

 

But… when she thought about it, it kind of made sense.

 

She was more than twenty years younger than a man in his forties, after all.

 

"Right, right—cross-generational friendship. I've never met him before, but we're about to. What do you think I should give him as a gift?"

 

Logan let out a faint, subtle chuckle.

 

Neither of them noticed he was standing nearby.

 

Miller Butler thought for a moment.

 

"How about a watch? Something a little more mature in style."

 

Selina nodded seriously.

 

Not a bad idea.

 

Rowan had designed her wedding rings—giving him a nice watch in return would make for a thoughtful gesture.
