Duel

Emily and James were gossiping about Alvin outside the cultivation room. However, they were speaking with a loud volume. Everyone inside the cultivation room could hear that.

Hearing what they said, Charles frowned and took a quick glance at Alvin. 

Then, Charles glanced around in the cultivation room. All the other mage class students were interrupted by James and Emily's conversation. Some of them are looking at Alvin with a frown, and some of them are looking at James.

Alvin stopped his cultivation and remained silent. He didn't scold back because he knew that one day he would have an element. Maybe more than one element.

He was musing on how he should react because James and Emily were trying to put dirt on his name.

Alvin turned his head and looked for Charles for discussion. Surprisingly, he didn't see Charles.

The next second, Charles opened the door and went out.

"James, you better be careful with your word. Don't make fun of something people are born with." Charles glared at James and exclaimed.

His voice was loud, his eyes were sharp. All the other mage class students were stunned by his action.

Alvin paused for a moment when he saw Charles defensed him. He never told Charles about his cultivation method, Phoenix Rebirth. So in Charles's mind, Alvin's cloud would be forever an elementless cloud. 

Alvin could tell from the Charles's expression that he was really, super angry. This was the first time Alvin saw Charles being angry. Although Alvin didn't know the reason why Charles was super angry, he still felt warmth about Charles's words.

Then, Alvin walked outside, with a firm eyes. At the moment, he saw Charles voiced out for him, he had decided to confront James and Emily.

"If people realize you can be bully, they will bully you. I won't let that happen." Alvin mumbled to himself. With his experience in life, he knew that when someone bullied you in front of everyone, you must fight back. If not, next time, everyone would bullied you.

"I hear what you said. Do you dare to have a duel with me?" Alvin gazed at James and said with a calm voice.

"Hah, why should I have a duel with you? There is nothing proud to beat a useless elementless." James sneered.

"Alright, so basically you admit that you are a coward." Alvin said.

"What did you said?" James exclaimed, clenching his fist.

The other students murmured about James.

"Ya, such a coward."

"I thought he is good in fighting or something, who knows is a coward."

"James only know how to gossip"

"That girl, Emily also quite bad, she is the one who start to talk bad about Alvin.Alvin did nothing wrong. She probably a useless also"

Emily's face turned red as she hear about the murmurs.

"I duel with you." Emily said.

"Emily, no. You are a support. You don't have attack skill." Hearing that, James quickly said, frowning.

"Then, you join me. We have a two vs two." Emily said.

Then, Emily turned to Alvin and said.

"Now, we two vs you two. If you guys lose, knight class and support class take three day of cultication room from you guys."

"How about if you lose? If you lose, you lose three days of cultivation room to us." Alvin asked.

"Can" Emily said arogantly. 

Alvin turned to the mage class student and asked. "Who do you guys think?" He wanted to get permission from the mage class student first because the result would affect their usage of the cultivation room.

"Go ahead, Alvin."

"You and Charles go give them a lesson."

Hearing that, Alvin and Charles grinned.

"Deal" Alvin turned to Emily and said.

With that, all the students went to the fighting hall. It was a hall specifically designed for fighting purpose. Normally, it was empty. However, now it was full of students. Not just the new student, some of the old students also came to watch the duel.

Alvin and Charles were at the right side of the hall. Alvin was stretching and warming up his body. 

At the same time, Mr Elias was instructing him on about the fight.

"Alvin ah, don't be too over, don't kill people. Just give them a quick lessen."Elias said with a solemn face.

"Ok" Alvin rolled his eyes a bit and said.

The same went to Charles. Miss Lily was talking to him.

"Why you so impulsive." Ms Lily said with a serious tone.

"Hehe. Don't be so angry Ms Lily. They looked down on my friend because of the elementless cloud." Charles said.

"Your friend mah, not you." Ms Lily refuted.

Charles paused for a moment and said. "If one day, it is me who got bullied by others because of what I was born with. I also hope that someone will help me."

Charles was firmed with his choice inspite of Ms Lily's effort to talk him out.

After coaching Alvin, Mr Elias went back to his seat. Beside him seated the teacher of Knight Class, Mr John.

"Hey John, you think who will win?" Elias said.

"For sure my student, James. He is one of the best in the class. Some more Alvin is an elementless." Mr John said with confident.

"hmm. I see. Do you want to bet? I bet Alvin and Charles will win." Mr Elias smiled politely and said.

"If you are willing to bet your rank 4 fire gem, I can bet with you." Mr John said

"Sure, if you lose, I want your rank 4 wind gem." Mr Elias said.

"Ok." John paused for a while and said.

"Alvin is so lucky. This rank 4 wind gems is one of the required material for him to upgrade his phoenix rebirth cultivation technique."

Just as Elias and John were talking, Alvin and Charles walked up the stage. In front of them stood the James and Emily. At the center of the stage stood the Academy Principal,Mr Christopher. Mr Christopher would be the judge for this duel.
