As he walked through the forest he felt on edge, causing him to raise his guard, prepared for anything he might encounter.
He walked for a while, not encountering any creatures as he thought the forest rabbits he had eradicated were the only inhabitants of the forest. But seeing that thought was absurd he slimed it down, concluding that he was still in their territory.
Unaware that the only reason he couldn't find anything was due to the fire he had started earlier.
But seeing he was in the clear, he decided to explore his system, trying to figure out his new state after the fight with the rabbits.
He moved closer to a massive tree that peculiarly stoop separated from the rest of the woods as it was surrounded by an unknown kind of shrubs.
The tree was larger than the others, standing approximately three times the size of the other trees. It produced a large canopy as shady as an umbrella, not allowing even patches of light to penetrate its leaves. It could be clearly seen that there were fewer trees in the area its canopy covered, as the unknown shrubs dominated the floor of its shadows. It had large roots, some of which grew atop the soil seemingly the size of benches.
Mark comfortably sat on one of the stuck-up roots closer to the tree trunk, leaning on it as he sighed, expressing his level of exhaustion from keeping his guard up all that time.
He instinctively moved his hand towards the ring on his finger but felt nothing as the ring had disappeared when he obtained the voice commands system.
He retracted his hand and sighed in a depressed manner, as the thought of getting stuck in the game tried to come back to him.
He shook it off in an instant, reflecting on his life so far as he also snapped out of it in a matter of seconds.
"Why am I wasting time on this? I sat here to do something. "
He said to himself as he began thinking of a way to allow the system to only tell him the info he wanted without any overdose of annoying words.
After a minute of brainstorming, he finally figured it out, as he spoke out.
"My upgrades!"
Without wasting time, the interface started to read out.

{Appraisal: level 2}
"I see, so I got a little stronger. It also looks like I got start points, I can invest then to improve a start."
"I'm currently weak, but I don't want to only concentrate on only one start. "
With that he decided to invest 3 points into his strength, shearing the rest across the board.
{Strength: 16}
{Intelligence: 14}
{Dexterity: 14}
{Agility: 14}
{Attack: 2-6. Critical: 7}
{HP: 40/58}

A puzzled look appeared on his face as he noticed his mp wasn't recovering. Hence he inquired from the interface.
{Player is not up to date on interface. Hence mana recovery skill is inactive}
"Hm?"
He got confused, asking the interface for all the unseen info.

Without wasting time, he opened his inventory, calling out the forest rabbit claws as they poured on the ground.
"How can I craft, he muttered after picking them up and placing them on the root he sat on.
{Crafters skill}
(Player must arrange items close to each other and command 'craft' for craft to complete.)
Since he knew how many he could craft and how much it cost, he piled up two groups of the claws, each comprising of ten. He commanded 'craft' and a bright light began to emanate from the items, not too bright for him to close his eyes.
The light shimmered down after a few seconds, as two fifteen centimeters claws lay on the root. But before he could pick them up for analysis, he was interrupted by the system.
{Crafters skill}
[Craft available]
(forest rabbit's claw dagger.)
(Available: 2, cost: 2 medium forest rabbit claws. 2 medium-sized brunches)
"Medium-sized brunches, but I don't have any brunches in my inventory. Is this game playing another game with me?"
He said with an annoyed tone. Thinking the game was trying to trick him again.
"Player is currently in a forest."
The system spoke out, replying to Mark's question as he felt a tad stupid at that moment.
"Without speaking another word, he stood up from the tree's root, activating his appraisal as he noticed all the shrubs that grew in the shadow of the massive tree bearing the name " healing herbs ".
His eyes instantly widened in amazement, shocked by the plentiful growth of the herbs around the tree.
Instantly forgetting about his search for the medium-sized brunches, he opened his inventory, pulling out the herbs and placing them in it.
Seconds turned to minutes, then hours as he kept on harvesting the herbs, exhausted as heavy breaths escaped his lips. Since he was in a game he couldn't sweat, as that feature wasn't available.
He got so pissed off to the extent of throwing a herb away after uprooting it. The herb flew for a few inches and vanished afterward, entering his inventory.
"Wow,"
He exclaimed, becoming more reckless after noticing that as he just pulled and threw away the herbs, entering his inventory.
As he got immersed in the harvest, he lost track of time, the night catching up to him in the blink of an eye.
The sounds of birds chirping died down, replaced by the howls of the creatures of the night. Mark stopped, freezing in an instant as he heard one of the howls at the edge of the herb field.
Knowing what was about to happen, he looked around, finding the brunches he needed as he rushed to the root the claws lay on, putting them on it and crafting the daggers in a split second.
The light that the crafting procedure emminated alerted the night howlers of his position.
