Ray's eyes sparkled with delight as he glanced at his system inventory. His small legion was working tirelessly, collecting corpses from the battlefield below. In just two minutes, his pets had turned into an efficient production line, delivering results faster than he'd imagined.
The constant chime of Ding! notifications felt like heavenly music to his ears, each one signaling a new addition to his collection. Ray couldn't resist the temptation to keep pushing the limits of his fusion ability.
FUSION!
FUSION!
FUSION!
For next minute Ray fused his monster his pets brought in.His Miceooster and two-star mouse diligently gathered the fallen without a single casualty, working like well-oiled machines. From atop the boulder, Ray watched them, a proud grin spreading across his face.
Satisfied, Ray moved his gaze back to the system space, where a new option caught his attention.
"Huh? What's this… 'Automatic Fusion'?" He squinted, confused. Curiosity got the better of him, and he clicked on it.
[Do you want to fuse everything up to the highest level it can reach?]
[Yes/No]
"Everything, huh?"Ray murmured, scratching his head. "Whatever, let's see what happens." Without thinking twice, he selected Yes.
Suddenly, a flood of notifications erupted.
!Ding!
!Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding!
[Every monster you have will be combined.]
Ray's eyes widened in confusion as the system continued to notify him of the ongoing fusion process.
[Congratulations, Host! After combining all the monsters you have collected so far, you have obtained:]

Ray blinked, overwhelmed by the flood of messages. "Damn… all my collection?" He muttered, almost on the verge of tears."I didn't want to max out all my monsters' like this."
Sure, the quality was impressive, but what about the sheer quantity? His dream of an army had been sacrificed. He had envisioned hundreds of beasts under his command, not just a handful of powerful ones.
"Imagine… four monsters in my team versus a hundred beasts marching behind me, ready to obey my every command." Ray dropped to his knees, softly pounding the ground with a fist. "Ahhh, my dream of an army!"
He shook his head, frustrated. "Why did I even click that damn option?" He sighed heavily but quickly gathered himself. "Whatever… let's see what I've got now."
With a wave of his hand, Ray summoned his newly fused monsters.
Standing before him were:
One 6 Star Rooster
One 5 Star Chicken (Female)
One 7 Star Mouse (Male)
One 8 Star Mouse (Female)
One 4 Star Miceooster
Two 2 Star Mice
Ray took a deep breath, assessing his new squad."Not bad," he admitted, though the loss of his envisioned army still stung. He peered over the edge of the boulder, scanning the battlefield.
The once chaotic field was now eerily silent. The ground was soaked with blood, the aftermath of the brutal clash evident in the crimson stains everywhere.Yet, not a single corpse remained his beasts had ensured that.
His eyes focused on a Five Star Chicken, its body battered and bloodied, feathers matted with gore. Despite the obvious pain, it stood with pride, its neck arched defiantly. Opposite it were two mice a Three Star Mouse and a Five Star Mouse. The five-star mouse was in worse condition, its body riddled with wounds, eyes gouged, and blood pouring from its injuries.
"Where did that five-star mouse come from?" Ray wondered, spotting a small hole on the battlefield's edge. "Must've crawled up from there while I was busy."
The battle was at its peak. The five-star chicken, despite its injuries, swung its beak down, aiming for the smaller three-star mouse. In one swift motion, it struck the mouse's head, killing it instantly.
Taking advantage of the chicken's brief moment of triumph, the five-star mouse lunged forward, its sharp teeth sinking deep into the chicken's neck. The chicken screeched, thrashing its head wildly, trying to shake off its attacker, but the mouse's bite was relentless.
After a few agonizing seconds, the chicken collapsed with a heavy fall, its life extinguished.
The five-star mouse, victorious but barely alive, stood trembling, blood dripping from its mouth. It had won, but at a terrible cost. Its legs wobbled, and with a final, shallow breath, it fell face-first to the ground, succumbing to its grievous wounds.
Ray let out a sigh of relief, his shoulders relaxing. "It's over."
Ray leaned over the edge of the boulder, his voice steady but commanding. "Get them,"he ordered, watching his two-star mice spring into action. The mice skittered across the blood-soaked battlefield, touching the lifeless bodies of the five-star chicken and the three-star mouse. The corpses shimmered momentarily before disappearing into his system inventory.
Ray rubbed his chin thoughtfully."Alright, let's bring you all in too," he murmured, his mind already calculating the next fusion.
With a flick of his hand, he summoned the two lowest-level mice from his inventory.Their images appeared in his system space, ready for fusion.
FUSION!
In an instant, the two-star mice combined, transforming into a three-star mouse. Ray didn't waste time. He immediately fused this newly created three-star mouse with the one he had just retrieved from the battlefield.
FUSION!
The result? A four-star mouse. Ray grinned, the gears in his mind turning rapidly. "Now, let's see what happens when I combine this with the Miceooster,"he said aloud, tapping the system screen.
FUSION!
A bright flash, and the four-star mouse merged with the Miceooster, birthing a powerful five-star Miceooster. Its new form radiated strength, a perfect blend of the two creatures.
Ray laughed softly, the thrill of the process coursing through him."What's next?" His eyes darted to the two five-star chickens in his inventory. "Let's fuse these beauties."
He tapped the system again, watching as the two chickens combined.
FUSION!
Another flash, and standing before him in the system space was a six-star chicken, sleek and formidable.
Ray surveyed his updated roster with satisfaction:
One 6 Star Rooster
One 6 Star Chicken (Female)
One 7 Star Mouse (Male)
One 8 Star Mouse (Female)
One 5 Star Miceooster
"Five monsters," Ray mused, a sense of pride swelling in his chest."Not bad for a start."
His expression hardened slightly. "But it's not enough. I've seen what this jungle holds, and the strongest beast so far was only a five-star. My weakest monster is at that level, and my strongest is an eight-star. Still…"
Ray clenched his fists, frustration creeping in. "They aren't my strength. They're external. I need to be able to protect myself, not just rely on these monsters. If I want to survive, I need to either get stronger myself or have so many monsters that anyone trying to reach me would have to wade through miles of them first."
He sighed, his mind made up."Time for a monster hunt. And I need to find out about these damn spirit stones. The faster, the better."
With that, Ray began his descent from the boulder. He moved slowly, carefully, knowing his weak body couldn't handle any falls or sudden jerks. He considered riding the Miceooster, but its flight capabilities were limited too risky for now. This frail body still had its uses, but it was a hindrance more than anything.
"I need a big bird-type monster or a land beast I can ride," Ray muttered, stepping down cautiously."If not, this body will keep holding me back."
Finally reaching the ground, Ray straightened up, a grin forming on his lips. "Come out, my legion,"he commanded.
In response, shadows rippled around him, and one by one, his five monsters materialized. The two mice stood behind him, their sharp eyes scanning for threats. The two chickens flanked him on either side, their feathers glinting in the sparse light. Leading the charge, the Miceooster moved to the front, its stance protective and vigilant.
Ray looked around at his small but formidable army, his grin widening. "Let's get to work."
