After some conversation, Liens and the Dean fell into an awkward silence.
They quietly ate lunch, no longer speaking.
One who didn't know might have thought they had some conflict, but in reality, they simply didn't know what to say.
In a place like the cafeteria, they couldn't discuss matters related to Extraordinary Ones.
And besides that, Liens and the Dean were vastly different in age and not well acquainted.
Neither of them knew what to say to continue the conversation.
So, they could only remain silent.
Fortunately, Liens ate relatively quickly, ending the awkward atmosphere first.
"Dean, I've finished eating, so I'll head back to rest now."
Liens tidied up his utensils and bid farewell to the Dean, who was still slowly chewing.
"Mm... Heier, goodbye."
The Dean waved, bidding Liens farewell.
"Dean, goodbye."
Liens also waved goodbye.
