Prologue

In the year 2017, the earth had three continents, the Mana continent, the Demonic continent and the Divine continent.

The Mana continent known as a land for those who can use Mana, Demonic continent for the Demons and exiled humans who could use Demonic energy. And the Divine continent for the priests and people who could use Divine energy. Though the continents are for different varieties, it had no limits to visitors whether demon of human.

And besides this three continents, beings like Elves and dwarves live separately and independently on untouched lands, ruins or canyons.

Times were peaceful with little violence but the birth of a child will offset the balance and peace.

The Felton household known as the royal family of the Astraea kingdom in the Mana continent give birth to a child.

"Your majesty, the baby's being born" the steward bowed as she informed King Grey who'd been waiting outside the room.

King Grey nodded and waved a dismissive hand at her. He walked into the labor room, his wife sat on the bed, her dark hair flowing with the wind. Though she had just given birth, she looked beautiful as ever.

"Waaaah…." The cries of the baby jolted at the King, interrupting his thoughts.

"Hahaha." King Grey laughed, his deep voice echoing the halls. " Sorry child, I was busy admiring your mother." He teased as he took his child into his arms.

"Darling, what should we name him?"

King Grey took a look at his son, the resemblance between him and the child was uncanny. Black hair with dark-red eyes.

"We'll name him Xavier after my father" King Grey grinned.

TWELVE YEARS LATER.

"He still hasn't awaken his Mana, your majesty" Ryan, his right hand man said, his voice full of regret and sadness.

King Grey didn't reply. He glanced at his son, Xavier.

Xavier could feel his gaze, his knees shook and sweat dropped from his body to the floor.

"Xavier…."

"Yes, father" Xavier managed to choke out.

"We're in the throne room, you'll address me as the King" King Grey commanded, his voice firm.

"Yes father….I mean your majesty" Xavier couldn't raise his head, he could feel the eyes of everyone in the throne chamber on him.

"It's your Twelth Birthday, the twins, your younger siblings are just six and they've already perfected the first circle." King Grey said, his voice filled with rage. "But you are yet to even awaken your Mana"

Xavier swallowed his spit, he wished the ground could just swallow him at the spot. He had been training effortlessly, honing his swordsmanship, in terms of that alone, he could easily beat everyone but without Mana, he was a weakling.

He knew that from the beginning that training without Mana was useless but he still trained and discovered a hidden ability in him

"I know your majesty but I discovered something while I was training."

"Spare me the details." King Grey waved a dismissive hand "Guards take him to his room"

As the Guards closed in on him, Xavier swept two of their feet, reaching for one of their swords.

He held the blade and began pouring energy into it.

King Grey's eyes lit up. Has he finally awakened his Mana? He thought to himself. But the color of the energy began to change to black.

"Impossible" one of the Guards yelled.

"How could he?" Someone else murmured.

"How could the first son do that?"

Xavier stopped and put the blade back in it's sheath.

"What do you think father?" he said with a smirk.

'I'm sure they're all shocked, well doesn't matter, I can make father proud' Xavier thought to himself.

But every hope he had broke when he saw the disgusting look on his father's face.

"You dare practice demonic arts in this household" King Grey said firmly, his tone filled with rage. " Guards, lock him up in the dungeons."

"Wait… no, this is a misunderstanding" Xavier started to explain but no one listened. He wanted to fight the Guards but he knew that would only cause more trouble.

"Maybe it's a test" he thought to himself "All I need to do is past the test"

He kept on repeating to himself as they threw him into the dungeon. Those words, he kept on repeating every day in the dungeon.

"It's just a test" Days passed by with him in the dungeon.

The twins would stop by and insult him. Family members came just to spit on him and ridicule him. Some guards even took him as a pleasure toy.

"It's just a test," he continued to delude himself as he suffered through hell for two years.

After two years, he finally came to a realization. No one was testing him, he'd been cast aside and stripped of his title. That evening,.the guards came again for another round of pleasure but this time he fought back

Killed the guards and escaped. He looked back at the castle, rage filled him up as he turned towards a future unknown.
