C89 The Fenrir Oath

"Yeah,"

Yang replied, smirking.

"They're just worried we'll look better than they do."

With the last of the adjustments in place, the female recruits of room 314 and other recruits filed out of their quarters, falling into one giant formation as they marched toward the hangar bay.

Their sleek black service uniforms, trimmed with red and white, gave them an air of authority that felt both new and earned.

...

The hangar bay was already filling with recruits wearing service caps and trench coats, all standing at ease with their hands behind their backs and their knee length black waxed and polished to perfection boots shoulder width apart as my battle brothers lined them up.

The mood in the room had shifted from playful to serious, the weight of the occasion sinking in as the recruits prepared to take their oaths.

As I stood at the front of them, with Arid a step back with the flag in hand, watching the lines form, I couldn't help but crack a grin.

These pups had been molded through fire, just like the rest of us once did.

They had suffered, bled, and fought their way through every grueling lesson we threw at them, and now they were ready to take another step.

With a sharp breath, I barked out the command.

"Attention!"

In unison, every single one of the ten thousand recruits snapped to attention, their boots clicking as their feet came together and their hands immediately shifted to their sides, standing as still as statues.

The synchronized movement reverberated through the hangar bay the recruits, now standing with their heels touching each other, waited, their eyes forward, focused on me.

I took a moment to let the silence settle, savoring the discipline on display, and then I called out four names that stood out among the ranks using roman military ranks which I decided to Introduce because I felt like It.

"Tirones Yin Yagami! Yang Yagami! Kane! Belmont!"

Each name and last name echoed across the hangar, and in response, four voices rang out, sharp and filled with purpose.

"I!"

Hearing this I gave my next command while raising my right gloved hand to my service cap covered head.

"To me!"

The four women no longer girls In my eyes, dressed just like their comrades but standing out for their excellence, stepped forward from the formation.

With no hesitation, they ran toward me, their polished knee length leather black boots gleaming with each stride.

When they were three steps away, they stopped in perfect sync, standing tall and raising their right glowed hands to their service caps in a crisp salute.

"Tirones Yin Yagami!"

The first one called, her voice loud and clear.

"Tirones Yang Yagami!"

Echoed her sister, her salute matching the precision of her twin's.

"Tirones Kane!"

Came the next, with strength and confidence.

"Tirones Belmont!"

The last recruit, Catherine, spoke with determination, no trace of the uncertainty that had once plagued her.

I returned their salute, seeing this, they lowered their hands, standing at attention, awaiting the next order.

With a subtle gesture, I motioned for Airid to step forward.

He moved with the same grace, stepping in front of me, the flag held high, but as he came to a stop a step front of me, he slowly lowered the flag to a sixty-degree angle, a symbol of the solemnity of the moment.

"Salute the flag!"

I commanded. The four women did so without hesitation, their hands rising in unison once more, the entire hangar filled with a reverent silence.

"Repeat after me,"

I barked, my voice ringing out.

I raised my voice, calling out the first line of the Iron Fenrirs' oath that I created based on my own that I took then I joined my country's armed forces.

"I"

I paused, giving the recruits a moment to say their names.

"Yin Yagami! Yang Yagami! Morgana Kane! Catherine Belmont!"

The four recruits shouted, their voices strong, their identities clear then the rest of the recruits did the same In a unison deafening voice.

"I do solemnly swear,"

I continued, my voice unwavering,

"That I will support and defend the Terranum Imperium PMC"

The four women repeated, loud and in perfect harmony with the rest of the 10 k recruits following after.

"That I will support and defend the Terranum Imperium PMC"

"Against all enemies, foreign and domestic"

"Against all enemies, foreign and domestic"

"That I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same"

"That I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same"

"And that I will obey the orders of the commander of Terranum Imperium PMC"

"And that I will obey the orders of the commander of Terranum Imperium PMC"

"And the orders of the officers and NCOs appointed over me."

"And the orders of the officers and NCOs appointed over me."

The gravity of the words hung in the air, the silence that followed a testament to the weight of the commitment they had just made.

With their oath spoken, I raised my voice once more.

"Kneel before the flag,"

I commanded.

Without hesitation, Yin, Yang, Morgana, and Catherine lowered themselves to one knee as they took off their service caps, bowing their heads in respect as the Iron Fenrirs' flag hung above them with the rest of the recruits following suit.

The entire hangar dropped to one knee, every soldier bowing their heads to kiss the flag in unison.

The sound of thousands of knees hitting the floor simultaneously reverberated through the air, a powerful display of loyalty and unity.

They leaned forward, their lips brushing against the fabric of the flag, symbolically kissing the very emblem that they now swore to defend with their lives.

Once the ritual was complete, I removed my right glove and extended my bare hand to the four women standing in front of me.

One by one, they did the same, shaking my hand firmly, their eyes filled with newfound resolve and pride.

"Congratulations,"

I said quietly to each one as our hands clasped, but my voice was filled with conviction.

"You've earned this."

"Thank you, sir,"

They responded in unison, their eyes gleaming with the weight of the moment.

"Return to formation,"

I ordered while saluting.

"Yes, sir!"

They saluted sharply once again before spining on their heels around and running back into formation.

The rest of the hangar bay slowly rose to attention, the ritual complete.

I took a step forward and faced the full formation, ten thousand strong.

This was no longer a group of raw recruits. These were Iron Fenrir younglings, ready to face further training which was going to become only more brutal and harder.

"Congratulations,"

I began, my voice rising with pride.

"You are no longer fenrir pups. You are now officially Fenrir Younglings!"

There was a shift in the air, the recruits' faces hardening with pride as they stood taller, the weight of their new title settling over them.

"IRON FENRIRS!"

I bellowed.

In unison, the entire formation responded, their voices booming through the hangar in a fierce, unified howl.

"AWOOOO!"

I raised my voice again, my smirk widening.

"IRON FENRIRS!"

"AWOOOO!"

The howl came louder, the energy in the room rising as the recruits let their voices carry the pride of their new nickname.

I called out one last time, letting the sound reverberate through the hangar.

"IRON FENRIRS!"

"AWOOOO!"

The final howl was deafening, the recruits letting loose with every ounce of pride and strength they had.

I paused for a moment, letting the howls die down, and then I couldn't help but let a mischievous smirk creep across my face.

"Now,"

I said, my voice dropping to a more relaxed tone,

"We're gonna get wasted as f*ck!"

The silence that had lingered for the oath was shattered as the entire hangar erupted into wild cheering.

Shouts and laughter filled the room as the younglings clapped each other on the back and threw their service caps In the air, their excitement infectious.
