Fire?

Xander's eyes watched as a sphere of water appeared once more in the girl's hand.

'Is she going to use that move again?' He thought before getting more excited as it seemed it wasn't. The sphere stretched and twisted before forming what could only look like a drill made of water.

Xander quickly crossed over his gauntlets and felt it collide at the dead centre of them. The force behind it was slightly surprising to him, as it had caused him to take a step back.

The drill soon lost its spin. Shortly after, it lost its shape and fell to the ground.

'Hm? That's it?' He had deduced whatever she had just drank must've been a mana potion, so he was expecting an attack of a greater magnitude... compared to this...

"That's a bit disappointing—"

However, this feeling was soon crushed as he noticed the metallic shine of a blade coming down on him from overhead. Raising his gauntlets towards it - he parried it effortlessly.

Lillian felt her arm holding her sword tremble as the vibrations passed through her sword. However, she ignored this brief moment of uncomfort as she aimed her injured hand towards the now exposed chest of the Red-haired Adolescent, intending to blast another drill right into him.

Unfortunately...

A flicker of what seemed to be fire appeared at the centre of his chest before growing larger into a raging flame and blasting outwards towards her hand.

She gritted her teeth and bent her knees - retreating back. After reaching a few metres away, she glanced down at her hand, which was just about to be singed off and saw it covered in water. (2)

Just as she had retreated, she had quickly coated her arm in water, making the fire ineffective.

The Fiery Adolescent stared at her, whistling - he was impressed.

"We almost got each other. I'd say we're tying right now."

'Tying...?'

Lillian thought for a bit before remembering more about the character before her. Xander Fie Reyla was indeed one of the many conquerable characters in this world.

Born to a family that had only ever had members compatible with fire, he had grown up to be quite a confident and boisterous young man. Of course, many people who have played this game and gone after him have compared him to a certain breed of dog.

'Y'know what... if he had blonde hair, I totally would've seen him as a Golden Retriever...'

Although his family is quite small and owns a profitable business in manufacturing weapons, his outward and kind nature certainly caused him to gain quite a lot of publicity, allowing his family's business to get some more publicity as more people looked into him.

Some may consider this a smart ploy of his to increase his family's status. But in reality, he is too... incapable of doing something that took a lot of brain power.

That's why he sticks to manual labour and fighting—as such, he considers most things as competition.

"Uhm... sure..."

"Alright! Since you attacked first, it's my turn this time!" Xander stated before leaping towards Lillian. He brought back his arm and shot it out.

Lillian narrowly dodged it by leaning to the side. Sweat poured from her forehead as she imagined the sort of pain she might go through if she got hit by it. The feeling of the wind produced by his swings wasn't making the imagination any less distracting.

Xander continued on his relentless barrage of punches. His metal gauntlets, which a normal man would have trouble carrying, were effortlessly being swung around by this man.

'Geez... this might get a bit troublesome...'

"Whew~! Didn't think these things would ever end! Ya did a good job there!" Millis breathed a sigh of relief as she craned her head over her shoulder, staring at the handsome man behind her who yawned profusely.

"Ya really should try going to bed earlier, ya know. It does wonders!"

The man turned towards her. The dark circles around his eyes were evident enough of how horribly awful his sleep schedule was.

"Hm... maybe... but I still need to binge-watch a few more before I can..." He let out another yawn. The reason for the Second Prince's constant yawning was due to his love for shows and movies.

"Umu... understandable..." Millis nodded. She, too, was a lover of shows and movies. However, due to her... financial problems, she had to resort to pirating to acquire these shows.

But since she left home, leaving her laptop, which was the only capable device she could use to watch them, she was left without entertainment and with the dread of not being able to know what happened next.

So, after discovering that someone too was as obsessed with shows and even had watched the same things as her, she got slightly carried away talking about it. Fortunately, it worked out for her.

The Second Prince had found her enthusiasm over shows and movies amusing enough to where he agreed to be her duo.

"That friend of yours... you think she's going to pass?" The Second Prince asked Millis as she poked the corpse of a beetle-like monster with a stick before being startled as it disappeared into pixels.

"H-huh? Oh! Definitely! Although it was quite surprising that a simp like her didn't actually join that woman."

"Woman...?"

Millis nodded, "It's the person currently in first place."

"Oh... the Heir of the Roselle family... was she the one who requested this friend of yours to join her?"

"Yeah. I'm kinda mad, though!" Millis pouted, "If she was going to refuse, why didn't she tell me beforehand!" She stomped on the ground like a child, ignorant of the Second Prince who had entered into a deep thought.

"I would like to meet that friend of yours." The Second Prince said abruptly, breaking Millis out of her childish tantrums.

"Huh? Sure! How come?"

"Hm... I'm interested. That's all..."

He was then met with an intense glare from Millis, "That girly is already engaged to me! She's mine, ya hear!" She ranted on, flailing her arms about.
