"How may I help you, miss?" The receptionist sat behind her desk and asked Lillian.
Lillian ripped her attention away from the tiresome Marionette, "Is it possible for me to receive a new Student ID Card?"
"Of course! Just tell me your name, and I'll have it made for you." The Receptionist steadily placed her fingers over her keyboard.
"Thank you! It's Lillian Ker Arius..."
The Receptionist tapped away at her keyboard. Her eyes narrowed before widening and nodding. "Here you are! Yes! Please wait here while I go retrieve it from our printer."
After the Receptionist left through the door behind her, which seemed to lead into a room filled with people, she turned towards Marionette.
"The uhh... female dormitory is outside to the left."
Marionette stared deeply at Lillian and nodded.
She still remained in the exact same spot. Was she not going to the female dorm?
"... Are you... waiting for something?"
"I'm waiting for some... one."
"... The receptionist...?" Lillian tilted her head. (3)
"No... you."
"Eh?" Lillian was taken aback a bit. She was waiting for her? For what reason?
'I doubt she could get lost again. It's literally outside to the left.'
"For what reason?"
"I wish to talk to you about the exam."
"Ah... you're not mad, are you—"
"Here's your new Student ID Card, miss." The Receptionist returned with Lillian's brand new shiny card.
'That was fast!'
"Thank you very much!" Lillian retrieved the card using both her hands and safely tucked it away inside her blazer pocket. She then looked towards Marionette, who nodded at her.
"Let's walk and talk, shall we?"
Lillian nodded with a smile. (5)
The two of them left the building. Marionette then pulled out her hand that wore the bracelet to the academy and opened up a portal, "I believe it's best we first go and retrieve our things from our rooms back at our apartments."
"Wait... we're going to do that now?" Lillian stared at her with wide eyes, "Don't you want to rest fir—"
"No. Now follow me." Marionette reached and grabbed Lillian's arm—pulling her along into the portal. The two of them exited on the other side to suddenly find themselves in front of their high-class apartment complex.
Lillian wasn't focused on that, however. Instead, she was focused on the fact that Marionette was touching her.
After Marionette had pulled her inside and into an empty elevator, she noticed that Lillian's attention was somewhere else. Looking down, she saw that Lillian was staring at her hand, which was clutching her arm.
"Do you have any issues with me grabbing you like this, Miss Arius?" Marionette asked, breaking Lillian out of her stupor.
"O-oh! No... I don't... I just thought you weren't keen on the idea of skin contact. So you doing this threw me off a bit..."
"You're indeed right to think that... however... you're an exception for now," Marionette explained with a vague tone that left Lillian confused and curious. Why was she an exception?
"And also... it's not skin contact if I don't actually touch you." She pointed out, pinching Lillian's sleeve.
The elevator door then widened before she could ask why she was an exception.
Marionette then pulled her hand away and walked towards her room, with Lillian following close behind.
"I'll be packing my things. I suggest you do the same unless you want all your precious items to gather dust." She told Lillian before entering her room.
Lillian sighed and went into hers. She looked around and couldn't help but feel a little sentimental about leaving this room. (2)
However, her face soon darkened as she stared at the countless plushies she had in the room. (2)
"Now then... how am I going to get all these to my dorm room...?" she pondered, "Ah! I'll just buy something that can help me from the system shop!"
"Eh... do I want to waste all my points on that though...?" Uncertainty washed over her. She moved towards the bedstand and pulled out the drawer—rummaging through it until...
"Oh! So we do have one!" Lillian pulled out a small, dusty metal ring. Its basic design left much to be desired, but the magic signature it gave off suggests it was an enchanted item.
[Item Name: "Spacial Ring Middle Grade"]
[Item Type: "Accessory"]
[Item Description: "A ring that a doting father gifted to his daughter, which was soon lost after moving away."]
[Enchantments: "Spacial Pocket"]
"Phew~! I almost forgot I had this! I knew this girl must have had a storage tool or something." Lillian wore it over her ring finger, "How much can it store, I wonder..."
[Enchantment: "Spacial Pocket"]
[Enchantment's Description: "Capable of storing 35 cubic metres of space."]
"Ehm..." Lillian stared at the floating screen with a sheepish expression, "How big is 35 cubic metres...?"
