Relying a Bit On Luck? (edited)

Her eyes seemed to dim as her energy felt like it was being sapped away.

Could she really win?

She then suddenly recalled something that Marionette told her.

"Nothing else matters more than winning, especially when it means you survive. Anything else besides that is pointless and foolish."

There was no way she could win... but could she run? If she escaped, then that wouldn't necessarily count as a defeat, right? It would instead count as a victory because she gets to live another day, right?

However...

If she did escape... what about Marionette? What would happen to her? What if she's alive as well? Was she really going to abandon Marionette after all they had done together?

Even if their time was short, would that... be the right choice?
