Rio wasn't sure exactly why, but after seeing the level 4 so easily foil his plan, he had felt deeply annoyed but such a feeling hadn't been right with him so he injured his own self finding satisfaction in the anger that replaced the annoyance and filled him.
Watching the beast Rio reduced the distance between the position he gripped the axe and its blade and then he moved forward.
With rage coursing through his being, Rio found himself able to better focus his strength and as such was able to up his speed, reducing the gap between him and the level 4 direhog's movement and this time when they got in close rather than try to keep some distance and attack, he closed the gap between him and the level 4 and threw out a fist.
Bang!
Rio's fist collided with the paw of the beast with quaking intensity, stopping its downward swipe at him and then he swung his axe at the beast leaving a shallow cut just above its paw before spinning around to his left and dodging the swipe of it's other paws.
Paying no heed to the ache he felt in his left arm after his earlier clash with the beast's paw, Rio threw out a punch at its body with all his strength eliciting a satisfying cry from it. He wanted to follow up with a slash of the axe, but then seeing its right paw come speeding toward his frame he took two steps back.
The level 4 beast opened its mouth to roar at Rio, thinking that he was going to retreat after his successful hits but with a grin Rio instead stamped his right leg down and pushed forward, landing a punch and slash on its unprotected face both at the same time.
"Graaaa" the beast screamed enraged at the cut it had received across its maw but Rio didn't give it time to lament.
Retreating from it's maddened swipe with a chuckle he charged back into the fray and despite seeing that it had a paw falling down towards him again, he didn't retreat.
Straining his left hand once more, Rio used it to block the beast's attacks, and enduring its claws which gripped and scrapped his arms he swung his right arm with as much force as he could digging his axe into its right shoulder.
Also injured in return, the direhog growled as it released Rio's arm looking to pull away from him, but he just merely smirked as keeping up with his retreat while his axe remained stuck in its shoulders, he threw out multiple hits at its chest and face with his left arm.
By the time the beast realized Rio was out for blood, he had already received 5 air-blasting punches to its body.
Angered, it ignored Rio's axe in its shoulders, stopped its retreat and swiped at him.
Unable to dodge out of the way since he had recklessly been following after it Rio could only let go of his axe and use his right hand to stop the beast's claws from digging into his face.
Three deep gashes ran across Rio's arms and it didn't end there as the beast's claws waved down and also cut into his chest.
Not letting out even a whimper, just as the beast's claws did his damage, seeming to be unaffected by the grievous injuries he had just received Rio pushed forward and lifting his right hand threw a punch at its face.
Having just finished an attack the level 4 direhog was in no position to defend itself so it could only take his attack head on.
"Bam" The sound of Rio's fist colliding with its jaw rang out but before it could recover, another one came.
"Bam"
Then another
"Bam"
Before the beast knew it Rio was raining a ceaseless number of hits on it, his injured body seeming to know no rest.
Graaaaa!
The beast roared out, enraged at the brutal beating, looking to mentally oppress his opponent and get a reprieve but Rio ignored its mental attack, he instead used it as an opportunity to pull his axe out of his shoulder and spinning on his foot slammed it into his left shoulder, this time cutting in far deeper so much so that blood splashed and began running down the direhog's left limb.
"What is this" the beast thought to itself, haphazardly swinging both its claws at Rio as it felt danger to its life.
"There is completely no Qi on this land and yet it already has such a powerful and fierce being. It said this would be an easy mission."
Aggressively attacking Rio, further injuring and forcing him back, when the level four beast saw that he was paying no mind to the blood that flowed out of his being and was already gearing up to charge back at it.
The sight of the much smaller Rio shook its core, it abandoned its pride as a much superior being, turned to the side and fled, running back to the portal.
"Huh" Rio muttered looking at the fleeing beast and then with a sneer he sprinted after it a mad hunger in his eyes.
Jumping over all the obstacles in its path as it sought to quickly evacuate the land and return to its home, the level 4 beast reached the portal in no time and without a seconds hesitation jumped through it.
Luckily for the beast, unlike when it had to struggle to cross the portal to enter this world it faced no such trouble in going back, but unknown to it, just as it's passed through the portal, a blood figure similarly ran and followed after it.
