Ch55: Not Enemies Yet Nemesis

"Young master." Aspen Doukas's voice sounded gloomy this morning as he knocked on the chamber door before entering. "May I come in to bring you breakfast?"

Silence. Castiel did not respond. He had been sitting on the sofa by his bedroom window all night and had difficulty sleeping for the past few days. Since Vienna firmly rejected his proposal, a deep sense of regret weighed on his soul.

I shouldn't have stated it so fast. I should have held back. It was wrong to rely on her family from the start.

Aspen sighed sadly, placing the food trolley near Castiel's desk. "You didn't sleep again last night? Please don't do this. You'll get sick, young master."

Yet Aspen wasn't sure if Castiel would touch the food; he still served various healthy and delicious meals. "Please eat this, even if a little. I made it with love. It breaks my heart to see you didn't touch them."
