Elysia stood in her shower, the warm water cascading over her body. She had found the wizard and his power coursed through her veins. Her hands pressed against the tiled wall as the aftereffects rocked her body.
She remembered the dinner and breakfast, feeling like royalty with the delicious food. She had declined his blood in the morning. His milk had the same effect on her as his blood. The sensations still lingered, making her shudder with pleasure as she walked home. He brimmed with power, and she would grow stronger. She would become as strong as Zarkon, if not stronger.

At police headquarters, Magnus held a file, addressing the officers. "We have had no leads on the mayor's death." He threw the file papers flying all over the place.
"The goblin situation also has no leads," he said, his gaze fixed on Elysia. "What are you doing about it?"
Elysia composed herself, her body shuddering as a faint moan escaped her lips. "I am following up on a lead today in the countryside," she replied.
Magnus pointed at her. "This is the result, men."
She could hear a whisper from the officers, "She has no life, still a virgin." "It is easy to work and have no life." "I would love to pop her cherry."
She ignored the whispers as usual. Her hearing exceptional as a vampire. Thank you, Ignatius, for making me feel like a woman again, she thought. She had a powerful man at her side and a beautiful friend.
"Learn from Detective Elysia. You two, keep an eye on Silvi's Coffee Shop," he ordered, pointing at two officers who saluted in response.
"Ignatius is still suspicious. He tried to seduce our Elysia."
An uproar started. The officers swore to protect her innocence from him. Magnus motioned for her to follow him. He lit a cigar as she stood in the doorway, arms folded. His eyes travelled up her body. "Keep your distance from that man."
"Where are you going today? Keep me informed."
Elysia entered his office, closing the door behind her. "The old blacksmith's forge near the forest," she said.
Magnus blew a puff of smoke, filling the office with its scent. "You may take one officer with you. We are short on manpower."
"No need, sir. Had blood last night, full of power," Elysia replied confidently.
"Be careful, Elysia. Goblins are ruthless. You will draw them like flies with your looks," Magnus warned.
*************
Magnus stared at Elysia's ass as she walked out of his office. According to his spy, she had stayed the night. Good for you, my friend, her thought. Ignatius, you had better look after her, or I will end you.
He would pretend to hate the man. Elysia had not looked this happy since before the war. His sources had confirmed that Ignatius and the mayor knew each other. The man could still be the killer. He had to make sure he did not hand his friend to a killer. "Sargeant to my office."

Ignatius blew a ring of smoke as Elysia walked towards them. "Ready to leave?" Luna asked.
They walked to the edge of town where the vehicles were. Christie had gone ahead to collect Elysia's disguise. "What did Magnus say?" Ignatius asked.
"He hates your guts," Elysia replied.
"Nothing has changed then. Do we have officers on our side?" Ignatius asked.
Elysia shook her head.
"No, they believe that you are trying to deflower me, their virgin detective. It's a matter of pride for them." Elysia said, disgust in her voice.
"I am a woman too. Why can I not have a man who satisfies and dotes on me."
"They did not want to date me, afraid of my bite." Elysia scoffed.
"They had suggested once when I was but a rookie. They wanted to bend me over, cuffing me to the table. Then, they would take turns with me. They said I would belong to all of them. Considering their married men." Elysia said, shivering, holding herself. Asif, a cold breeze had blown on her.
Luna's memories of capital detectives flashed in her mind. That's what happened to her when she was a rookie. She did not belong to one of them. They had never come to look for her, and no one came to persuade her to stay.
Ignatius placed his hand around Elysia's waist. "You have us now."
"We will make sure that you make up for lost time," Ignatius said as he kissed her cheek.
Luna opened the door, and Christie had their disguises ready. "Come, Master," Christie said, undressing him. Soon, they were prepared for the road.
It was an hour's drive to the old blacksmith. Ignatius had brought the book he leased from the library.
The old blacksmith building loomed near the edge of the forest. "We should be careful. Animals and magical creatures make homes in old buildings." Elysia said.
Luna unsheathed her sword as soon as the vehicle stopped. She got out, opening the door for Ignatius and Elysia, her sword growing. Elysia took her police sword from the back. "Alright, be careful, girls," Ignatius said, summoning his orb.
They found no animals or magical creatures inside the abandoned buildings. Ignatius took his book from a pouch and flipped through the pages. He spotted the symbols he had been looking for. "Come this way."
There was a path leading to the forest. Symbols etched out of the paved bricks, the small road leading into the darkness. The orb glowed with its eerie light, illuminating their path. Elysia marvelled at the orb.
They came upon a small altar covered in the symbols from the book. Ignatius walked around the altar, scrutinizing every detail. Luna held her sword at the ready. "Be careful. It might be a trap."
The Blacksmith's building had an unusual stone. Ignatius matched it with a reference in a book on elven artifacts. He touched the symbol on the stone. It began to glow, and a script appeared before them. Elysia whimpered, "Woo, woo, woo, what is this?" She hid behind Luna, her hands shaking. Ignatius translated for them.
Spell Gained: Eldritch Blast. Luna acquired a defensive spell: Guardian's Grace. In Ignatius's hand, a ring appeared identical to Luna's ring. "Give your hand, Elysia."
"Hide the ring when at work. This is your wedding ring," Ignatius said, taking her hand and sliding the ring onto her finger.
Script flowed from the orb into Elysia's navel. He held her as her body shuddered. Her lude moans echoed in the darkness.
A golden light came down from heaven five times. For the first three, Elysia looked okay, her eyes alive, her smile captivating. The fourth beam of light, she moaned, crumpling to her knees. The fifth beam fell on her, she moaned, and her body spasmed.
Writing appears you have reached level five. Ignatius translated for them as he picked Elysia up. He saw a large puddle on the ground. Her dress soaked through. Luna fussed over her friend.
Luna and Elysia hugged each other with joy and shared a kiss. They kissed Ignatius, their happiness overflowing. The ring increased her powers.
More scripts appeared before Elysia.
Blood Bond. Strengthens the connection between Elysia, Ignatius, and Luna.
Triad Power. When together, their combined powers increase, allowing for powerful group attacks and defences. As the bonds increase, the blood bonds increase in strength.
Elysia hugged Ignatius. "Thank you. I will never be able to repay you."
Ignatius took both around the waist. "Be loyal to me as Zarkon and Christie are loyal. That would be payment enough for me."
Elysia marvelled at her new abilities. Although she had lost five levels, she had grown stronger and gained new abilities.

Ignatius and Luna entered the boutique. The soft chime of the doorbell signalled their arrival. The shop was elegant, with rows of stylish clothing and accessories. They decided to sit in the waiting area while Christie helped Ayla with her new clothes.
"What do you think of Elysia?" Ignatius asked.
They had not spoken about yesterday at all. Luna inspected a piece of lingerie. "She is incredible."
"I can say the same for you," Ignatius said as he pecked her on the cheek. "I have no words."
"You are more amazing than I could ever imagine." He said, hugging her.
Luna felt a pang of guilt in her heart. "I did not do anything special."
He gave her a sceptical look. "You are yourself, and that is enough for me."
"Be yourself. That is all that I want. Thank you for the support when we moved here. You do not know how much it means to me to have you at my side."
Ignatius's eyes seemed to stare into an unknown world. "My dream as a young teen was making you my wife."
"Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined having such a pure and pretty lover as you, Luna."
"I am not as pure as you might think," she said in a small voice.
She felt worse as he confessed to her. She had never seen him as a husband until she heard he had sold his mansion to leave Queens town. She had not thought about him for fifteen years. Why does he have so much faith in me? If he only knew what I have done, he would despise me. How corrupt am I? Please stop praising me. My heart cannot take it. She thought.
As they waited, Ignatius and Luna overheard a conversation behind them. Dr. Stan Morough's wife and her best friend were speaking in hushed tones.
Dr. Stan Morough's wife, her voice trembling, expressed concern. "I'm worried that my husband might have killed the mayor."
