In Zed's house, the sun was rising and the morning light filtered through the pricey curtains, creating lengthy shadows on the floor. The lingering effects of the previous evening filled the air inside. The elegant furniture and pricey objects in Zed's home seemed oppressive, contributing to the pain that was pounding continuously at their temples. All three of them were suffering from a hangover that seemed like a slow, agonizing reminder of the mayhem they had caused the night before, and they were seated in a semicircle on soft chairs around a big glass table.
Zed sat slouched in his chair still wearing the same clothes from the night before, his braided locks in disarray. His usual confidence was replaced by a quiet frustration, his green eyes heavy with the lingering effects of the alcohol. He was the first to speak, though his voice was rough, and it came with a tinge of irritation. "I don't know why we even bothered with them. We're not their kind of people and they sure as hell aren't ours"
Khalil was sitting back, his golden-orange eyes glazed, one hand pressed against his forehead as if the pounding headache could be warded off with sheer willpower. He let out a low groan before responding. "Yeah, I'm not sure I can handle this again. I don't get why they kept pushing, asking about our lives like that. We barely know them"
Lotus, however, was silent as if thinking about something. His usual aloof expression was more intense now, his pale skin even paler than usual and his usual coldness now had a dangerous edge. His gaze was fixed and his lips were pressed into a thin line as he stared at the floor. The alcohol had stripped him of his usual restraint and now his thoughts were brewing with fury, sharper than they had been in a long time.
He clenched his fists tightly, his nails digging into his palms and when he finally spoke his voice was icy, calm but laced with an underlying venom. "They made us drunk in order to pry about our lives" he murmured, his eyes flicking toward Zed and Khalil. "I can't believe I let my guard down and share information about my private life. They. will. pay"
Zed met Lotus's gaze, sensing the sudden shift in energy. The air in the room was thick now with the weight of Lotus's anger. "What are you saying?" Zed asked cautiously, though he had a feeling he already knew.
Lotus's lips curled into a small, sinister smile. He leaned forward, his eyes narrowing with cold determination. "I'm saying that they need to learn their place. Last night? I am beyond humiliated"
Khalil looked at Lotus, his brows furrowing in confusion, still half-groggy from the hangover. "What exactly do you mean by that? You want us to teach them a lesson?"
Lotus let out a soft chuckle, though it wasn't one of amusement. "Yes. But not in the way you think" He stood up from his chair and began pacing slowly around the room, as if calculating every word before he spoke it. "I want to remind them of their place"
"But... what if they didn't really mean to pry? What if they're just genuinely curious?"
Zed sigh in frustration, "Khalil, curious or not they should have known boundaries. They took advantage of our drunk state!"
Lotus absentmindly touches his black choker. "They need to understand that luxury isn't something they can just touch and walk away from. It's not their world. They need to learn that no matter how much they want to be part of it, it'll never be theirs"
Zed, now fully awake and intrigued by Lotus's words, leaned forward, his previous frustration replaced by a twisted kind of excitement. "So you want us to make them see that? To show them what it's really like?"
Lotus nodded, his voice growing darker. "Exactly! We make them crave it more, make them believe it's something they'll have and then we pull it away"
Khalil's eyes brightened, now fully engaged in the conversation. He sat up straighter, rubbing his temples as if shaking off the last traces of his hangover. Despite his hesitation he is a bit angry. "You're saying... we'll show them the world we live in but then we make it clear it's not meant for them? Like... we dangle the luxury in front of them and then take it away?"
Lotus nodded once more, his cold gaze fixed on the two of them. "They need to see the difference. They need to understand that luxury, real luxury is not something they can have easily. We'll let them taste it just for a moment but they won't be able to keep it and that's when they'll truly realize where they stand"
Zed chuckled darkly, clearly enjoying the idea. "This could be fun. They won't know what hit them"
Lotus turned to face Zed, his eyes gleaming with a cold intensity. "We'll teach them a lesson they'll never forget. A lesson about who they are and who they'll never be. They will regret messing with us especially messing with me"
Khalil grinned mischievously. "Alright, alright. I'm in. I mean, who wouldn't want to mess with those less fortnates a little? It'll be interesting to see how they react when they realize just how out of their league they really are. It's a payback for what they did"
Lotus gave a slow, calculating smile. "Exactly! And we'll be the ones to show them. We'll give them a taste of what they want, what they think they deserve, and then remind them that they'll never belong"
Zed leaned back in his chair, his smirk widening. "I like the sound of that. Hmmm... What's the plan?"
Lotus's smile grew more sinister. "We'll start small—gradually. First, we'll invite them into our world, make them feel like they're part of it. We'll take them to places they've only dreamed of, treat them like equals. But then, when they start to get comfortable, we'll pull back. We'll remind them where they really belong. The more they chase after what they can't have, the more they'll see just how far out of reach it really is"
Zed's grin turned into something almost predatory. "I like this... they won't know what hit them"
Khalil's laugh was light, but it had an edge to it. "I just hope they're ready for what we have in store"
Lotus's eyes glinted with satisfaction. "Oh, they won't be but by the time we're done they'll understand. Luxury isn't for everyone"
And with that, the trio sat back in silence for a moment, letting the weight of their plan settle in. They weren't just playing with those less fortunate anymore. They were about to teach them a lesson they'd never forget, a lesson that would make them realize that no matter how much they wanted the life of luxury they would never be a part of it. They had crossed a line, and there was no going back.
