Don't lose hope , Aiden

Aiden paced the sterile hallway outside the doctor's office, his hands trembling. His mind replayed Sophie's devastated expression, the silent pain in her eyes. When the doctor finally emerged, Aiden's heart sank further.

"Mr. Wilson," the doctor began, her voice hesitant. "The child… it was aborted. The procedure was conducted by a visiting physician, Dr. Celeste Rivers. We have no further details as she left immediately after the operation."

Aiden's chest tightened, the weight of her words hitting him like a sledgehammer. "Aborted? My child was aborted without Sophie's consent?"

The doctor nodded solemnly. "It appears so. I'm sorry for your loss."

He stormed out of the hospital, his thoughts a chaotic whirlwind. The realization that someone had stolen his unborn child from him—his and Sophie's—left him drowning in anguish.

When Aiden returned to Sophie's room, she was sitting up in bed, staring blankly out the window. Her fragile frame looked even smaller under the hospital sheets.

"Sophie," Aiden called softly, his voice cracking.

She turned to him, her eyes filled with sorrow.

Aiden sat beside her, his hands finding hers. "I know what happened," he said gently. "I'm so sorry. I should have been there to protect you."

Sophie's lips trembled, tears streaming down her cheeks. "It wasn't your fault, Aiden. None of it was."

He wrapped his arms around her, holding her tightly as she cried into his chest. "I promise you, Sophie, I'll find out who did this, and they'll pay. You have my word."

The next morning, Sophie was discharged and brought home. Aiden helped her settle in, ensuring she was comfortable before leaving for work.

"I'll be back soon," he said, kissing her forehead. "Call me if you need anything."

As the door closed behind him, Sophie leaned against the couch, her mind drifting. She thought about the man she had loved for so long. Despite all the pain and obstacles, they had finally begun to find happiness. But now, it felt as though fate was determined to keep them apart.

Her gaze fell on the coffee table, where a pen and notepad lay. After a moment of hesitation, she picked them up and began to write:

Don't look for me again. I'm leaving the house. Take care of yourself.

Placing the note on the table, Sophie packed a small bag and slipped out of the apartment. She made her way to Zara's house, tears streaming down her face as she walked away from the life she had dreamed of.

Meanwhile, Aiden stood in Mason Wilson's grand office, his fists clenched at his sides.

"Why did you do it?" Aiden demanded, his voice laced with fury. "Why did you abort my child?"

Mason leaned back in his chair, his expression cold. "Because Sophie doesn't deserve to bear your child, Aiden. You have responsibilities—ones that don't include her."

"What responsibilities?" Aiden asked through gritted teeth.

Mason smirked. "You're to marry Scarlett Stewart. That's the deal. She's from a powerful family, and this union will secure our position. Sophie is nothing but a distraction."

Aiden's jaw tightened. "You had no right to make that decision. That was my child—our child!"

Mason stood, his tone sharp. "You think love is enough in our world? Grow up, Aiden. You have obligations, and Sophie will only drag you down."

Fuming, Aiden stormed out, vowing to fight back against Mason's manipulative schemes.

When Aiden returned home, the apartment was eerily silent. "Sophie?" he called out, his voice echoing.

He searched every room, panic setting in. Finally, he spotted the note on the coffee table. His heart sank as he read her words:

Don't look for me again. I'm leaving the house. Take care of yourself.

Aiden collapsed onto the couch, clutching the note in his hands. He tried calling her, but her phone was off.

Desperation took over as he dialed Zara's number.

"Zara, it's Aiden. Is Sophie with you?" he asked, his voice shaking.

"I haven't seen her," Zara replied, concern evident. "What happened?"

"She left," Aiden said, his voice barely above a whisper. "I don't know where she is."

Zara's tone softened. "I'll try to reach her. Don't lose hope, Aiden."

After hanging up, Aiden sat in the darkened apartment, his mind racing. He couldn't lose Sophie—not now, not ever.

At Zara's house, Sophie sat on the couch, her head resting in her hands.

"Are you sure about this?" Zara asked gently, sitting beside her.

Sophie nodded, tears spilling over. "I can't stay, Zara. Aiden deserves better, and I can't bear to face him after everything that's happened."

Zara placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. "You're stronger than you think, Sophie. But if this is what you need, I'll support you."

As the night wore on, Sophie found solace in her friend's presence, though her heart remained heavy.

Meanwhile, Aiden's resolve hardened. He wouldn't stop until he found Sophie and brought her back. But for now, he sat alone, clutching the note that marked the beginning of their separation.
