Tesarius cut in, letting go of her face and walking away, once again turning his back on her as he sucked in a deep breath. All the while Aurora stared at him, the smile on her face falling. "B-beg- beg your pardon?"
"You heard me. I do not wish to see your face anymore." Tesarius was staunch in his words, his back still to her as he glanced at her sideways. "Your presence is valued, but your face… irks me."
"M-My face… irks you?" Aurora was baffled. Confused. Astonished. What on earth was he saying? Only a minute ago he said she was his, now he was saying he didn't want to look at her. "But w-why?"
"Must I have a reason?"
The bluntness in his words hurt, but Aurora wouldn't back down. She still believed there was more to it. That Tesarius was hiding something. And she would find out what it is.
