Olenna lost her composure

Seeing Olenna coming out of Amy's room, Quinn, who was leaning against the wall, turned around to glance at her.

"What are you doing here?" Carefully shutting the door behind her, as if she didn't want to disturb the person inside, Olenna gave Quinn a deep look and marched forward.

"I thought you said you would make her apologize to me?"

"Apologize? For what? From who? When did I say that?" Olenna's brows furrowed into a deep frown, and Quinn rolled her eyes in disbelief, running her hand through her hair in deep exasperation.

"Don't tell me you've forgotten."

Olenna finally remembered what she was talking about and pursed her lips while slowly shaking her head. Well, who would remember something like that when they had better things to take note of?

However, seeing Quinn's thoroughly pissed expression, she nonchalantly waved her hand. "Of course, I didn't forget. But don't you think it's a bit immature of you to be holding a grudge against your little sister?"

Quinn wasn't expecting anything near this, and her face paled slightly as her hand clenched into a fist beside her red pants. Her reaction didn't escape Olenna's eyes as she continued seriously, "You need to be considerate, Quinn. I didn't raise you to be like this—brash, rude, and harsh. It doesn't reflect a bit of my lessons on you at all."

In other words, this is disgraceful!

Staring at Olenna's deeply annoyed face, Quinn felt bile rush up her throat, and she immediately covered her mouth—a reaction she had never had before but now couldn't help having from the hypocritical expression Olenna was portraying.

Gritting her teeth, she squeezed out her words, her sapphire eyes flashing with anger. "So, you're saying I should let go and forget that my little sister hit me for no reason?"

Olenna flipped her dyed blonde hair behind her, nodding calmly with her arms crossed in front of her chest. "There's no harm in doing that. It was probably an accident. Moreover, you already had her crying inside by calling her out earlier just because she was excited for you. I wasn't even calling you out for that. I think that's enough, Quinn."

The veins on Quinn's neck stood out so hard as the urge to punch something welled up in her head.

She felt as if she was at her breaking point.

She was the one being wronged, the victim in this case, but Dylan accused her of being selfish and disgusting.

The mother she thought would be just and clear was even worse, directly preventing her from getting whatever justice she deserved and calling her names.

She bit her lip, a bitter smile on her lips, but her eyes spoke all she needed to. "This will be the last time I trust you to give me justice because it's clear that you have a favorite whom you would be willing to protect no matter what happens."

"I don't have a favorite," Olenna frowned, feeling that the vocabulary wasn't portraying her well. "I think the best for both you and Amy because I treat you like my biological children. I want the best for you, and that's why I told you to endure her. Not only is she younger than you, but she also looks up to you. Sisters should be united."

"Uh?" Quinn chuckled as if she had heard something ridiculous. Indeed, she had.

"Olenna, did you forget that I'm only a few minutes older than Amy?" She raised her well-manicured and uninjured hand, shaking it in the air.

"Five minutes, to be exact. So because of that, I should endure all this? Because she's a little sister who came out of my mother's womb five minutes later? You're ridiculous." She put down her hand and shook her head. "Also, I don't need her to look up to me. No, I don't deserve such an honor. Most importantly, it makes me feel disgusted with myself when you put it in such a way that she's emulating me because I'm not someone who loves sabotaging other people, and I never will."

She looked Olenna dead in the eyes, her blue eyes holding no positive emotions. "Thanks for teaching me how unreliable you are as a parent. It's a lesson I needed so I can live and grow better."

And with that, she strutted away, leaving Olenna's eyes blank and furious. It was rare for her to lose so much of her composure, but now, she simply couldn't hold it in.

How... How can a daughter raised by her act like this?!

Lips quivering and body trembling with anger, she gritted her teeth.

"How dare she say I'm ridiculous and unreliable?! And her little sister is disgusting?! Did I even raise this thing?!" Her teeth chattered with disbelief.

She felt as if she had failed at the parenting she prided herself on the most. Because how can a child raised by her act so imprudent with no basic respect?!

Indeed, Amy shouldn't look up to this ungrateful girl who doesn't know how many girls out there are dying to be raised by Olenna. It should be Quinn looking up to Amy and learning better!
