Then, I went to the kitchen to prepare lunch for him. Just as I began, the house phone rang, and I rushed to the living room to answer it.
"Madam, Are you going to deliver lunch for Mr. Vendest today?" asked Victoria, my husband's secretary. She is a young 26 years-old young lady.
"Yes" I replied, "What should I take note of?" I asked.
"Mr. Vendest will go out for lunch today. There is no need for you to bother with his lunch." She informed me,
"Oh, Thank you." I thanked her then hung up the phone.
"He is not coming back home on time, he does not eat the lunch I cook for him. What's going on with my husband these days?" I sighed.
Due to my clear schedule I decided to go out and have some fresh air. I got dressed in a long sleeve brown sundress, with low rise white heels. For accessories I wore stud earrings, with a tennis bracelet on my left arms, and a no-makeup make-up. "Where should I go?" I asked myself sitting in my car. I received a phone call upon saying those words, I picked up the phone, it was my friend Lune.
"Ini, I know you're busy but we should go out together sometimes." She said over the phone. "I don't have plans today so I can accompany you, then we will go together to my husband's grandmother's birthday." I proposed.
"Yeah, that's a great idea." She replied.
"Where are you right now? I will come get you." I asked.
"I am at… your house." She replied. "You were planning on spending the day with me, no matter what." I laughed. "Obviously, I haven't seen you in forever." She replied. "Come out to the porch I will be waiting for you there." I said. I drove to the house porch from the garage.
"Get in girl" I invited her, as I saw her walking up to the car. Lune got in the car, then we drove to a flower park.
As we stepped into the flower park at 9:30 a.m., the morning sun rose above us, casting a warm glow over the vibrant blooms. The sweet scent of tulips and roses wafted through the air, a symphony of colors bursting forth from the earth - fiery reds, sunshine yellows, gentle pinks, and creamy whites. I couldn't help but sigh with contentment as Lune and I walked together along the winding paths, the soft rustle of petals beneath our feet a soothing accompaniment to our peaceful stroll. Lune stop at the tulips field "look how beautiful they are." she smiled then sniffed the tulips, "They smell so good. Come and have a look.'' She invited me. As I knelt beside her, the flowers swayed around us, their colors popping against the bright blue sky. I looked at her, taking in her happy smile, and felt my heart lift with joy, grateful to be sharing this peaceful moment together.
As we strolled through the vibrant tulips garden at the flower park, our feet bare and free, we couldn't help but laugh and smile at the captivating beauty surrounding us. The warm sunshine and fresh air filled our lungs as we ran hand in hand along the winding paths, feeling carefree and joyful. It had been a long time since I'd felt this sense of freedom, and I was grateful to be sharing it with someone who understood me so well. After working up an appetite for 3 hours, we decided to head to the closest restaurant, Lune quickly pulling out her phone to search for options on YuYuo . "Ah ha!" she exclaimed,
"It says the nearest restaurant is Pain-Bleu. Shall we give it a try?" She asked,
"Pain-Bleu?" I repeated.
"Yeah, do you not like it there?" she asked
"No, it is just that this restaurant is near my husband's company. He said he was eating out today so we might run into him." I replied.
"I didn't see him for so long so it will be a good opportunity to see him again. I mean if we do meet him there." she replied.
"Okay, so let's go," I replied as I put the car in gear and pulled out of the parking lot, the warm summer air rushing past the open window as we hit the road.
