Or Just The Same

Moments ticked by as I sat there, I eventually got better. I showered quickly, and ran out of the bathroom. 

"Honey, come hug me." Irem invited me, in a soft voice and his arms open to. "I think I should be the one asking for a hug." I smiled walking towards him. 

"Inira, are you naked?" He asked, trying to define my silhouette through the dark. "Of course not." I sat down next to him. 

"You scared me for a moment." he buried his head in the pillow. I hugged his back, then he unburied his head and looked at the window. "Your mother's words don't hurt me anymore. It never actually did but I don't think about it anymore. It has been ten years, I am used to it." I said, 

Irem turned around, meeting my cheeks with his chest. I looked up at him and he looked back at me. I laid my body in the bed, and hugged him, laying my head back on his chest. "My wife." he said, eyes closed stroking my arm. "My husband." I closed my eyes. " Thank you my God for this day." we said together before falling asleep.

Back to school

It has been a week now since I last saw my husband's mother. I was school supplies shopping with Louis, and Marine, our maid, when we encountered Stephanie, an old classmate of mine. "Irina, is that you?" asked Stephanie, walking up to me, "Yes it is you!" she confirmed, as she stopped in front of us. 

"Hi." I said smiling, "It has been so long since I last saw. OMG you are even prettier." she exclaimed then looked at Louis. "Is that your son?" she asked. 

"Yes, this is my son Louis." I replied. "So handsome." She looked back at me, "It's so lucky to see you here today. Well, our old classmate Léon is getting engaged next month and I was wondering if you would like to join the fun and come to the wedding." she proposed enthusiastically. 

"Hm, next month is September, Can I have the week and day please?" I asked, " The first week's Thursday." she smiled,

 "So I only have two weeks to prepare? Well I believe it is doable." I said. "OMG, thank you so much Irina." she exclaimed out of relief, "It's my pleasure, actually. I haven't been to an engagement for a long time." I replied. 

"Can I have your contacts so that I can send you the details." She asked, taking out her phone from her newly bought Birkin bag. I gave her my contacts, "I will text you later." she said then waved me goodbye before leaving. 

"Manmin, is she your friend?" ask Louis, "No she is an acquaintance, we were classmates back in college." I replied, then we continued shopping. 

We got back home at 5 p.m., I strongly believe online shopping was a better idea. I cracked my back and walked to the restroom "Louis come wash your hands." I called Louis. 

Louis ran ahead of me and got to the restroom first, "Mommy, you are so slow." he laughed. 

"Eh?" I acted confused and walked into the restroom "I don't think I am slow." I pressed the soap into my hands, "See I got the soap before you." I said proudly. 

"Manmin, I am done washing my hands." He replied then ran out of the restroom. "This kid." I laughed then washed my hands.

It was 7 p.m. Irem had still not gotten back from work. it was time for dinner so I called Louis down stairs "Louis, come down for dinner!" I shouted. 

"We are not waiting for dad?" he asked, coming down the stairs. "He is probably coming back late." I replied, 

" Let's go have dinner." I said, we walked together to the dining room. After dinner I clean up the dining room and put the leftovers in the fridge with the help of my little angel, Louis. It is now 9 p.m., Louis already went to bed but Irem is still not home. "Huh" I sighed, I turned off the lights and went to the bedroom.
