I Heard She's Crazy

Liam's POV

My fine shit just left. What was I thinking? Making lunch because I wanted to see her and dismissing that whore because she couldn't satisfy me enough? Well, after she left, I knew I had done a great job.

Barely staring at her, I calmed down. I sat down on the chair she sat down for like thirty minutes before coming to my senses. After fucking my fist a couple of times after she left, I felt better.

Now, time to work. Now that my plans were coming into play, I had to get everything together.

I placed a phone call instantly as I sank into my seat in my home office. I had issues with focusing so my pills were always on my desk, a decent glass of water and a freaking picture of my new target, Patricia Lynn. I hid it before I showed this place to her initially but now I could stare at it anytime I wanted. Now that I impulsively invited her here, I'll have to move the portrait to my room.

My secretary always knew to never miss my calls, ever. I settled for no one and I won't start now.

"Derrick, get that bastard to sign the fucking divorce papers. I don't want to know how you'll do it but make it work. I need that woman divorced."

"Mr Henry?"

"Affirmative."

I hung up and tossed my phone on my desk to rest my head a bit. Henry was getting on my nerves so much and I wished I could strangle him, but I will make him suffer first. It took years and such luck fell on my feet.

I stalked her, then visited her art gallery to see if I could familiarize myself with her and get closer to that bastard, and it worked. I was going to take her, married or not so how dare Henry refuse to divorce her?

Well, now I had all the time in the world. I settled in to work immediately, arranging paperwork for the next meeting. I had no plans to have the one I missed today because thinking about it now, it was seriously heading nowhere. All I had to do was share ideas with Patricia and I'll be good to go, so I'll wait until it's suitable enough to see her again. I would at least try my best to hide how desperate I am towards her.

After a tiring time of working, I logged out and went to bed. Thoughts of Patricia were the last thing on my mind before I slept off.

.....

A deal with another rich mogul wasn't my style, but I couldn't turn down a meeting when it came. This one wasn't so impressive and I was better, so it was no wonder why he wanted a meeting with me.

The only reason why I agreed to it was because I like what he does. I worked alone and wanting Patricia by myself was crucial so in her case, I broke rules. She was so smart and intelligent, but I would've managed.

I went to save her from there for a purpose, one I will achieve in due time. For now, let me keep waiting until she lets me fuck her until she forgets how to breathe. You know, shake that bossiness out of her a little.

I got ready that morning, as early as possible, waiting for my associate. My house was my comfort, so I never had any reason to leave but I had to, to an expensive restaurant because there was no way I would meet a potential rival in my own home.

I wonder what he wanted from me. I barely even knew the guy.

Ten minutes after I arrived, he walked in with his entourage, but I wasn't impressed. A man like me would never need all of that to feel mighty. We barely exchanged glances but he took a seat opposite me.

"Liam Collowway. Thank you for honoring my invitation."

"The pleasure is all mine, Erik." As he sunk into his seat, I took him in. He looked decent enough, but there was still something about the air that didn't feel refreshing. He reeked of trouble.

"Let me just cut to the chase. It's about your company." He started out carelessly and a waitress came to take our orders. I didn't want anything but he ordered a glass of scotch.

"My company." I mimicked absentmindedly as I stared at a painting behind him. My company?

"What about it?"

"I believe we can do something big, something really big and I have plans already. I even brought the paperwork if you would be interested to take a look."

I watched him collect paperwork from a guard beside him and just then, the waitress served him what he ordered.

After she left, he tried to reach out to me to hand it over but I stopped him. Whatever he was up to, I truly didn't need it at all. I couldn't care less about anything because clearly, he had a motive. All these rich moguls would never do anything that won't benefit them.

"So let me get this straight. Do you have a proposal? Is that what this is about?"

He smiled, then raised his glass to his lips and took a rich sip, and I watched and knew the moment the scotch kissed his throat.

"Yes. I want our businesses to expand together and honestly, it would benefit you even more and I want a balance."

Just then, he dropped the glass and we had a minor stare down before he broke it and chuckled. It was amusing and he was also aware that he was about to say absolute balderdash and he was getting on my nerves.

"I'll go through that later. You said something about a balance. What's that about? What do you want? Why are we here?"

"I will be plain with you, because I believe it's something you can make happen. They don't call you the man that makes things happen for no reason."

"Erik." Warning was all over my voice as I called out to him, urging him to cut to the fucking chase.

"Patricia Lynn. I heard she's crazy but I see the way she handles business. Apparently you got her out of jail and clearly, she seems fine. I just, well I think I want her. You seem close to her. Can you set up a date for me with her? That's all I really want, and I'll let you handle our business."

The minute he was done, a dark chuckle escaped my lips. It was so dark that even I would've been scared if it didn't come from me.

He had to be fucking joking.

Now I have to make a potential business partner disappear for wanting the same woman I'm shamelessly lusting after too?

So be it.
