This Isn't Happening

Liam's POV

You're not my type?

Did I really say that to her? I must be insane. I watched the way her cute little face morphed into anger with traces of hurt when I said it.

I woke up to a text message from my tigress, telling me about how she was finally getting a divorce. I was going to escort her there. If only she knew the strings I had to pull to make that happen. No one knew Henry more than me, especially his deepest, darkest secrets.

I planned to take my revenge on him but seeing her that day, I knew that making her mine would be my trophy. The way I would bend her over and plunge into her remained in my mind ever since.

Now, she would be a free woman, but not for long. I left my mansion about thirty minutes ago, and I was headed towards a wedding ring store.

Yes, I was going to pop the question. I refused to let her be a divorcee for even one second. I wanted to make her mine and I know it's fast, but I just can't help it. If she agrees, I'll move and shake the world for her.

My car screeched to a halt upon getting to the entrance of the building so I stepped down in style. I didn't make use of a driver most of the time as I appreciated my privacy. The wedding ring store was the most expensive in the city, carefully curated for the people that were ridiculously rich and had no real use for money.

People like me actually, because I had no plans to spend anything less than a million dollars to get a diamond ruby ring.

The minute I walked in, my eyes locked with a pale looking pretty girl, apparently the sales person, and she was rather kind as she spoke to me.

"Mr Collowway, welcome to our store. What kind of ring are you looking for?" She replied softly, and she looked so breakable. Too bad she wasn't my type, if not I would've taken her home for a good fuck, even though it wasn't my thing. Some girls just managed to break that rule, yunno. Well, until I met Patricia, that is.

"An oval shaped ruby ring. I want a diamond one."

"Do come this way sir." She directed me to the section and the minute we arrived, I knew the one I wanted. It looked as red as my lust for the ice queen. It was so shiny, so befitting for my fierce queen. I picked it out immediately and it was packed properly after payment.

Walking out majestically, I headed to my next location; Patricia's penthouse.

Her penthouse looked just like her, and I have no more comments about it. It's beautiful, alright?

Anyway, she was just coming down and I met her at the elevator. She looked stunned to see me, then she squeezed her face and looked away. Her hair was normally styled straight, but this time it was in a messy low bun and she wore some famous designer's outfit. She looked lethally beautiful, but it was clear that she was mad at me.

She rolled her eyes and all I could think about was making her do it again in a sexual way.

"I know I called you here but are you going to apologize for yesterday? It's a lot for me to even admit that you hurt me with your words, so I want my apology now." She folded her arms as she waited for me.

I guess it was time to propose.

"Well, I have something even better, Trisha." I said, bringing out the box of the ring from the package it was in.

"What's that?" She asked, her full attention on what I was holding.

I hastily brought out the ring and showed it to her, then proposed.

"Once you're a free woman today, agree to marry me." I didn't kneel because I wasn't sure of what to expect from her.

I watched her blink severally, rubbing her cute hands against her eyes, clearly refusing to believe what she was seeing.

Just then, her lips curled up in a mocking, incredulous smile, as if she couldn't believe what she was seeing.

"Is this some type of joke? You're joking, right?"

She asked and I had no answer.

"Liam, this isn't happening. I'm never going to marry you. We are business partners alright, so I don't even want to hear that you've suddenly developed feelings for me just like that."

"I just want to protect and help you."

"I'm fine. I don't need your help. If I do, I'll always tell you, like me asking you to follow me meet Henry. You can do that for me at least. Let me sound this again, I'm a bit materialistic and I absolutely love the ring, but nothing can happen between us, after all you said I'm not your type. No kisses, no touches either, nothing. Infact, think of me as your sister."

"Okay now you're hurting me, but I understand, and no, I'll never think of you as my sister, just so you know. Let's go then. It's your loss, I thoughtfully picked out this ring." I said it as hurtful as I felt. How could she even say that?

"Well, propose to someone else then. I'm sure your future wife will be honoured." She said, walking away and I knew she was heading to the passenger seat of my car, so I followed suit.

"You're so annoying." I said.

"Right back at you, pretty boy." She winked at me and those eyes, oh those eyes…

We headed straight for the restaurant where Henry would be waiting for us so we could speed things up and make her mine.

Upon getting there, he was already seated, waiting for us. I watched the way her skirt hugged her hot ass as she swayed her hips majestically in front of me. Henry looked deadly and his face hardly twitched as we walked to where he sat and joined him there with the papers.

When his eyes fell on me, color came back to his face.

"Liam Colloway? What are you doing here? Are you the one that got this bitch out?" He spat out distastefully and it didn't sit well with me at all.

"Refrain from calling her that and deal with what we are here for." I said as demurely as I could, but all I wanted to do was slit his throat.

"No one invited you here! No one!" He began to shout like he was crazy, but I couldn't care less.

Facing Patricia this time, he proceeded to spew out trash from his mouth.

"Of course, you'll always be a bloody tramp. Everyone hates you, and it's good that it has finally dawned on you. I don't know what your plan is with this man but he'll never love you. No man can love such a cold and rigid woman."

I watched her face fall slightly, her confident facade slipping. His words were getting to her.

"Quit wasting your time, it's quite pathetic." He continued on. I wanted to stop him so badly but Patricia was my tigress, she knew when to give him back what he deserved so all I could do was watch the ugly scene unfold.

"Actually, I pity you. Sure, I'll divorce you, but I'll never give you back your company. Lose, bitch. Lose, unlikeable bitch."

When he stopped talking, the corners of her hot red lips curled up to a mocking grin as she raised herself up from her seat.

"Are you done? Now sign the fucking papers. Do that, and watch me do this."

It was the last thing I expected.

Her eyes were locked on mine seductively. She practically climbed on top of my thighs suddenly and whispering the words, 'I'm sorry' she cupped my face shortly before crashing her lips against mine, hungrily.
