Say The Word, Patricia

Patricia's POV

I headed to the meeting room in high spirits. Well I pretended to be happy. I had to be as I passed those nurses who laughed at me out in the open.

The meeting room was decent and as I walked in, all eyes were on me. I suddenly felt so small under the weight of their gazes. Yes, I knew I was late but still.

Quinn sat down somewhere, glaring at me like she even mattered to me. I would ignore her until I didn't need to.

I walked in and sat down. Silence stayed for a minute before the nurses began to address us again. Women shared their stories. I had missed the first four, but the woman beside me was next. We were rounded and it was a big circle, so I guess I was next after that.

I would've never thought I would cry my eyes out with Quinn of all people, but I had to show strength. I was here already. If I leave, she will win. She had already seen my tears.

The woman had probably been crying already so her voice croaked out.
