Dahlia exuded confidence as she smiled broadly.

"Relax. He won't discover anything as long as you two stay silent. I'm an expert at keeping things under wraps."

However, her self-assurance crumbled when a chilling voice spoke from behind.

"Oh, really?"

The blood drained from Dahlia's face, her knees weakening, and she almost fell over.

Elion's complexion turned ashen, his eyes filled with fear as he attempted to flee. But Slater's guards swiftly caught him, effortlessly pulling him back.

Slater took a seat, his expression impassive, his eyes locked on me.

"Vernia, you invited me here for a drink just to witness their little performance?"

Everything became clear to Elion, and in a burst of anger, he growled, "Vernia, you cunning trickster! You deliberately posted that on Instagram, didn't you? To draw me here and spring your trap!"

I feigned innocence, playing my role.

"I share on Instagram for everyone, not specifically to catch your attention."
