**Sebastian's POV**
"Don't you have any plans of going home?"
I was sitting leisurely on the hammock, sipping coffee. Jasmin, on the other hand, was watering the plants and flowers in the yard of her house. We were still here in Sitio...
"This is the third time you've asked me that. Why are you trying to send me home when I'm clearly enjoying your place?" I replied casually.
I lay down on the hammock, savoring the fresh breeze. "This is what life is about. It must be so nice to live here."
I glanced at Jasmin, who stood with her hands on her hips, looking at me. "It would be nice if you weren't here."
What did I do to deserve her constant hostility?
*"You're really asking that?"* my inner self said.
Tsk.
I sat up and stood. "Why are you always so grumpy with me, yet you're so nice to that Jacob guy who looks like he belongs on the street?" I walked closer to her.
"He's my friend, and we've known each other for a long time. We share a lot of history," she answered directly.
I stopped in front of her. "We know each other too—"
"But you're not my friend," Jasmin interrupted.
"I don't want to be your friend either... because I want to be more than friends—husband and wife. You're my wifey, and I'm your hubby—"
"Idiot! Don't include me in your nonsense. What husband are you even talking about? And for the record, I've never dreamed of having a husband like you—"
I leaned down and brought my face closer to hers, making her take a small step back. "Are you sure? Then who do you want—oh, don't bother answering because I won't let you end up with anyone else. You're mine." I smiled and patted her head.
She swatted my hand away and stepped back, her face now serious. "You don't own me, so stop claiming me!"
"Yes, I do."
I stepped closer and wrapped my arms around her waist, pulling her toward me. Our bodies were nearly touching...
"Whether you like it or not, you're mine. But don't worry, I'll make sure you fall for me, and only me."
I kissed the tip of her nose and her forehead, then smiled sweetly at her.
I looked into her eyes, which seemed to pull me into another dimension. They were full of questions and uncertainty.
My gaze dropped to her lips, and I slowly leaned in to kiss her...
"Jasmin."
"Damn it! An interruption!"
Jasmin immediately pushed me away.
"J—Jacob?"
The annoying, interrupting Jacob approached us, his face serious as he stared at us—at me, to be exact.
Tsk. Why can't you just accept that you've lost?
"Uhmm... Do you need something?" Jasmin asked Jacob gently.
See this girl? She's always sweet to him but grumpy with me!
I moved closer to her and draped my arm around her shoulder, but she immediately removed it and glared at me. I just smiled back at her in retaliation.
"Aunt Maring cooked a lot of breakfast, so I thought I'd bring you some. You might not have eaten yet," Jacob said.
What a lame excuse.
"Give it to me. You might've put some love potion in it," I said, grabbing the food from his hands.
"Sorry about that—" Jasmin apologized to Jacob while elbowing me.
Now we were at the dining table having breakfast. And of course, Jacob was still here. I thought he was just dropping off breakfast? Why is he still hanging around?
He's ruining my moment with Jasmin.
"Are you sure you won't join us?" Jasmin asked.
"He already ate before coming here," I said as I devoured the longganisa.
"That's for Jasmin, not for you," Jacob said.
"What's hers is mine, what's mine is hers. And Jasmin is mine," I replied.
"You're claiming something that isn't yours. Jasmin would never like someone like you. You should just go home," he said smugly.
"You think she'd like you? From what I heard, she didn't even accept you before. What makes you think she will now—especially with me here?" I smirked at him.
"You'll just hurt her, play with her," he said, standing up abruptly and glaring at me.
I stood up too, meeting his glare head-on.
"How can you be so sure? You don't know me or what I'm capable of doing for someone I like."
We stared at each other intensely, neither of us backing down...
"Aren't you two ashamed of yourselves? We're at the dining table!" Jasmin suddenly stood up, glaring at both of us.
"Jacob, you know it's rude to fight in front of food. I didn't expect this from you—to argue with Sebastian over something so trivial," she scolded.
I smirked at Jacob.
"And you, Sebastian—you've had no manners since the day I met you. And for the love of God, stop arguing over who I belong to because I don't belong to anyone!"
She stomped away angrily.
We were about to follow her—
"Don't you dare follow me! I don't want to see your faces. You'll just ruin my day..." she snapped before leaving for good.
"This is your fault," I blamed Jacob.
He just glared at me before starting to clean up the table.
"I'm not finished yet," I said, grabbing the plate with longganisa and eggs.
I sat back down and continued eating.
He just scoffed and left.
