Chapter 2

On the day of Henry's release from the hospital, a nurse approached me with a look of envy.

"You know, when Mr. Scott was out cold during surgery, he kept calling for Sienna—that's you, right? Since you've been here, his recovery has been incredibly quick."

I gave her a polite smile but remained silent.

I'm not actually Sienna.

Henry was in exceptionally high spirits after leaving the hospital.

"Lianna's away on vacation. Now you can finally visit my place without all the sneaking around," he said cheerfully.

Before his accident, I had told him a lie about going on a month-long trip.

In reality, I had gone home to sign papers giving up my inheritance rights.

Despite Henry's wealth, it was nothing compared to my family's business empire.

My parents disapproved of him and wanted me to marry someone of similar status.

When I refused, they threatened to cut me off if I stayed with him.

I've always been the type to sacrifice quietly in relationships, so I never told Henry what I'd given up for him.

But before finalizing the agreement, I heard about his accident. I immediately booked a flight to see him.

As we neared his house, he suddenly reached under the welcome mat and retrieved a key.

Handing it to me, he said, "You always hide the spare key here. How many times have I told you to keep it in a safer place?"

I paused briefly before forcing a smile.

I had purchased the lock for this house, and there were only two keys.

I never knew he had given one to Sienna as well.

Once inside, I instinctively reached for my house slippers, but Henry stopped me.

"Don't use those; they're Lianna's. She's particular about germs," he said, quickly taking the slippers and carefully putting them back in the shoe cabinet.

Then, as if remembering something else, he added, "Oh, and there's a rabbit-themed mug in the kitchen. Don't use it—it's Lianna's favorite. I bought it specially for her."

His words filled me with a sense of bitterness I couldn't shake.

Imitating Sienna's tone, I asked with a fake pout, "We've been together for so long. When will you make our relationship official?"

He looked at me with cold, warning eyes. "Sienna, having fun is one thing. Marriage is another. Lianna will be my wife—that's not changing."

Realizing his harshness, he softened and pulled me close. "As long as you behave, I'll give you anything you want—except that title."

Then, leaning in, he gently bit my ear and whispered, "You've always hated sneaking around when you come here. Well, guess what? This house is yours now. I secretly put it in your name. Lianna has no idea."

I remained silent, my mind reeling with anger and shock.

Henry, oblivious to my silence, ran his hands over me with practiced ease. Suddenly, he reached for a hidden section of the wall, revealing a compartment I'd never seen before.

From it, he pulled out an unopened condom. Inside were dozens of used ones.

There must have been over a hundred.

While I was away, they had shamelessly indulged in their affair—in my own bed.

Coming to my senses, I grabbed his wandering hand to stop him.

Seeing this, he misunderstood my intention, pinning my hand beneath his.

"Don't fuss. The only woman I'll ever have children with is Lianna."

Hearing this, I shook my head, trying to contain the turmoil inside me.

"I'm still menstruating," I said quietly.

He seemed unfazed by my words. "That doesn't matter. We've dealt with blood before."
