"I accompanied you to the medical center for the examination. The results clearly indicated..." Sean began, but I interrupted him.

"It was merely an incorrect diagnosis," I stated, cutting him off with a tone that immediately silenced him. "The physician confirmed I'm in perfect health."

"Furthermore," I added, moving slightly closer, "I have quite a high fertility rate."

I wanted to ensure he grasped my meaning completely.

Our marital years had been challenging. His relatives, in particular, never allowed me to forget my inability to conceive.

They'd make subtle digs, referring to me as a barren hen. Sometimes, their comments were blatantly obvious.

Yet, I always complied, doing everything they suggested—examinations, special diets, medical consultations. You can imagine. Still, month after month passed without a pregnancy.

It wasn't until I moved on and began a relationship with Grayson that the reality became clear. The issue wasn't me—it was Sean.
