Liam found himself drawn to Janet's quiet charm. Their conversations at the library became frequent with each visit, often sparked by her subtle curiosity about books she recommended. He admired her intellect and the spark of creativity in her eyes when she spoke about her favorite novels. Janet, though initially hesitant, started enjoying his company, viewing him as a kind and comforting presence in her life.
Meanwhile, Sam remained consumed by his letters with Lady J, finding solace and excitement in the anonymity of their exchanges. He wrote back:
To Lady J,
"You ask what I'm searching for, Lady J. Perhaps I'm looking for a reason to believe in something beyond the ordinary. These letters, this story—it's unlike anything else in my world.
But let me ask you this: If you could step into the shoes of one character from any story, who would it be and why?
Yours,
Mr. S".
Sam felt attracted towards this mysterious Lady J and wanted to more about her. He was happy solely because she exists and replies to his letters.
Meanwhile Janet was busy with her work and couldn't make time to get back to the library. So after a week of stress and failure she was able to make some time and visited the library to fetch the letter.
When Janet read his letter, her heart swelling with a sense of adventure. She replied to it that same day.
To Mr. S,
"If I could be any character, I'd choose someone bold and free, unafraid to chase their dreams. Perhaps Elizabeth Bennet from Pride and Prejudice—sharp, independent, and unafraid to stand her ground.
But what about you, Mr. S? Are you a dreamer, or are you content to live within the confines of the real world?"
Yours truly,
Lady J"
In a separate continuity of the story, Emma, who recently graduated applied for a position at Passion Industries. After her impressive interview, Sam approved her hiring.
Emma quickly gained his respect with her no-nonsense attitude and unique ideas. She didn't hesitate to challenge Sam's decisions, which intrigued him. And Sam somehow liked her fearless attitude.
As time went by the became work besties. Sam with his experience and Emma with her inspiring character. Unbeknownst to either of them, Emma began to harbor feelings for Sam, though she didn't dare admit it not even to herself.
Meanwhile, Liam, growing closer to Janet, tried to subtly hint at his feelings for her. He brought her small gifts, like bookmarks and handwritten notes, but Janet seemed oblivious. They even went out to have dinner but she simply wasn't fazed by his nature. Possibly because she too felt a strong attraction to Mr S.
Meanwhile Liam got to know about Mr. S and Janet. After he accidentally saw her putting a letter into the book. So one evening while they were out on a walk, Liam made a brave attempt to impress her, he casually mentioned, "You know, I've always loved writing. In fact, I once wrote a few letters as if I were a character in a story."
Janet froze, her mind racing. Could Liam be Mr. S?
SHE just glanced at him and froze in her place. Buy she couldn't say about her identity yet.
