Chapter 6: Lucien's Wedding

Chapter 6 : Lucien's Wedding

While Beru was staggered back by the force of the ice shards, the two Ice Beasts controlled by Lucien launched attacks simultaneously, one at his front and one at his back.

But Beru, with his battle experience, knew that with these two ice beasts' speeds, running towards them was impossible. However, he also knew that as long as the spell caster ran out of mana, he had a chance to survive.

According to his estimation, the caster should also be at his limit. Instead of running away, Beru ran forward, facing the first ice beast in front of him and managed to block its claw.

As for his back, he knew he couldn't dodge the ice beast's swing, but as long as he didn't take a fatal blow, he had a chance to survive. With all his might, he tried to dodge the attack, but his right arm, holding his sword, was severed. He rolled to the ground in pain.

Lucien was about to finish him off, but he felt exhausted and let one of the ice beasts crumble to pieces. In the bamboo village, Lucien knelt to the ground, panting. Freya immediately assisted him.

"Are you alright?" she said, her voice filled with worry.

"Didn't I tell you to call me husband now?" Lucien chuckled.

"Ah... this," Freya mustered her courage and said, "Husband, are you alright?"

"I'm fine! It's just my mana is depleted," Lucien said with a smile.

Beru, watching from a distance as one of the ice beasts crumbled, knew that the caster had exhausted his mana. But he didn't want to take any unnecessary risks. He ran towards the forest, shouting, "Bamboo Village, I remember this."

"When I come back, I'll make sure to torture you all to death," he said, looking at Lucien with hatred in his eyes, and then ran towards the distant forest.

Lucien knew that letting him get away was not a good idea. He knew this person would cause more trouble when he came back for revenge. But, he was helpless, he couldn't do anything.

Soon, the last standing ice beast, serving as a deterrence, crumbled.

"Lucien, are you alright?" A cacophony of voices asked, their concern evident in their eyes, mixed with awe.

He looked at the villagers, their genuine concern and awe palpable. Among them, three figures stood out, their beauty striking.

Two of them were teenage girls, around Freya's age, with similar appearances. The other was a great beauty, around 25 or 26 years old.

"I didn't expect that you are a mage at such a young age," some of the villagers murmured. "Lucien, you hide so well."

"I, Adam, thank you on behalf of the Bamboo Village," the village head said, walking forward and bowing deeply in front of Lucien.

"No need to thank me ,village chief," Lucien replied, as he was supported by Freya going inside the bamboo hut.

"As someone who belonged to this village, I couldn't just watch someone die and be abducted by those bandits." he thought .

Because of exhaustion, he fell asleep. When he woke up, it was already late morning.

"You're finally awake," Freya said, her voice laced with worry. "I was very worried that something happened to you.

"Uhm... Someone came to visit you this morning."

"Who?"

"It's the village chief's two daughters. You probably don't know their names since you lost your memories," Freya explained.

"So, I decided to talk to them. I said you were still in bed and asked their names before they left. They said they'd probably come back tomorrow, to thank you in person.

"Not only that, but the beautiful sister in the village also visited early this morning, wanting to thank you, too."

"Now you're very popular with the girls in the village," Freya whispered, lowering her head, a blush creeping across her cheeks.

Lucien, looking at her reaction, chuckled, stood up and hugged her. "Look at me," he said, his voice soft and tender.

"No matter what, even if I have more wives in the future, you will always be my first wife," Lucien said, his voice direct, his sincerity evident.

He knew that his system required him to have more wives. He'd directly told Freya about this, and she had assured him that multiple wives were common in this world.

"Uh, really?" Freya asked, looking into his eyes, her surprise evident.

"Of course," Lucien said gently, leaning to kiss her lips."

While they were kissing passionately, Lucien's stomach growled. They looked at each other, and Freya giggled.

"You're probably hungry. Let's have breakfast," she said, walking towards the kitchen and Lucien followed.

"How come there's so much food here?" Lucien asked.

"Ah, I forgot to tell you. These two dishes were given by the Village Chief's daughters, and this one was given by the beautiful sister."

"I see, no wonder the food this time is extravagant," Lucien said, his eyes twinkling.

"What are their names?" he asked.

"The older daughter of the village chief is Anna, and she is 17 years old. The younger is Tania, and she is 15 years old," Freya replied.

"As for the beautiful sister, her name is Lumiere. As for her age, I didn't know. I didn't have the courage to ask," Freya said, lowering her head.

"It's fine. It's not a big deal," Lucien said, caressing her blue hair.

A month had passed, and Lucien had grown close to the village chief's daughters and Lumiere, spending time with them daily.

Of course, he didn't forget his daily training in magic, also using the low-grade, 1-star sword left by Beru. He practiced magic and swordsmanship daily.

But he still couldn't use the Heavy Strike skill.

He also discovered that Freya had a high affinity for Ice magic, so he decided to teach her the Mana Absorption Technique and the Ice Beast Creation Spell.

Since Freya had a high-grade aptitude in magic, her progress was incredibly fast. In just three days, she reached the 1-star beginner mage level, and in fifteen days, she reached the 2-star beginner mage level.

She could also create an Ice Beast that lasted for ten seconds.

This made Lucien envious of her talent.

Lucien also decided to teach the villagers the 1-star Knight Breathing Technique and the Heavy Strike skill. He talked to the village head to choose a group of villagers to train.

When the village head heard this, he stood up and looked at Lucien in disbelief. After all, the Knight Breathing Technique was rare and difficult to acquire, let alone for villagers like them.

When Lucien taught the village head the breathing technique and the knight skill, he was overjoyed and cried tears of happiness.

The village head chose eight adult males from the village to train. When those villagers learned that Lucien had given them the chance to learn the knight technique and skill, they knelt down in gratitude

The village head picked eight male adults in the village to train and those villagers knelt down towards Lucien , when they knew he was the one who gave them the chance to learn the knight technique and skill.

Time passed, and Lumiere revealed that she was a daughter of the Loraine Viscount family, forced into a political marriage.

She agreed to it, hoping to repay her parents, even though they treated her poorly because she lacked magical talent, a disgrace to their prestigious family.

However, she overheard the Count has erectile dysfunction, instead he plans to use her as a plaything for his servants, a scheme to humiliate the Loraine family.

She couldn't accept it and escaped, becoming a wanted criminal, accused of theft.

Because of this, her family disowned her, claiming she was no longer part of the Loraine family.

Lucien comforted her and accompanied her every day for at least two hours.

As for the man who claimed to be her husband, Lumiere told him that she paid him, for pretending to be her husband.

He also used part of his more than a thousand gold coins to build a bigger house that could accommodate at least a dozen people.

Another ten days passed, and Lucien decided to marry Freya. Every person in the village was invited, and they also invited a priest from the nearby church for the wedding.

Every night, Lucien and Freya engaged in passionate encounters, leaving Freya exhausted. So, she decided to tell Lucien to find another woman, as long as he loved her, she would be satisfied.

He agreed, as that's what he wanted as well.

In the morning, Lucien decided to tell Lumiere about his feelings. Because she also harbored feelings for him, as he was always by her side, when she was alone, she accepted his feelings.

"Three days later they were married."

Another wedding celebration took place in the Bamboo Village.
