Expanding the Foundations

Arjun convened a meeting with Saumya Rajendra Chowdary (his maternal grandfather), Amarasinghe Rajendra Reddy (his paternal grandfather), and their trusted lawyer, Narayan Rao, in the study of the Amarasinghe Estate. The room, adorned with ancestral portraits and vintage furniture, exuded an air of gravitas.

"Grandfathers," Arjun began, "our agricultural lands are stable, and the recent investments have started generating steady income. But agriculture alone won't be enough to sustain the scale of growth I'm aiming for."

Rajendra Reddy stroked his beard thoughtfully. "What do you propose, Arjun?"

"Two sectors: textiles and real estate," Arjun replied confidently.

Textile Ventures

Arjun explained his plan to establish a textile manufacturing unit in Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu, leveraging the region's reputation as a textile hub.

"Textiles are timeless," Arjun stated. "With the rise of global demand for Indian fabrics, we can target both domestic and international markets. Tiruppur offers access to skilled labor and established supply chains."

Saumya Rajendra Chowdary nodded approvingly. "It's a sound idea. Tiruppur's infrastructure is already tailored to textile production. What about funding?"

"I propose using the profits from our agricultural ventures and some liquidated jewelry assets," Arjun responded.

Narayan Rao interjected, "We'll need permits and local government approval for setting up the unit. I can facilitate that."

Arjun smiled. "Perfect. Let's allocate ₹10 crores to this project for the first phase."

Real Estate Expansion

Next, Arjun shifted focus to real estate. "The real estate market in Hyderabad and Vishakhapatnam is booming. I want to invest in prime properties, develop residential complexes, and later, commercial spaces."

Rajendra Reddy raised a concern. "Real estate is unpredictable. Are you sure about this?"

"Absolutely," Arjun replied. "Hyderabad is on its way to becoming a major IT hub. Vishakhapatnam, with its port and strategic location, has immense potential. It's about timing. We buy low now and sell or lease high later."

Saumya Rajendra added, "We'll need connections to navigate the bureaucracy in these cities. Do you have someone in mind?"

"Rajashekar Reddy from the Congress Party," Arjun said, his tone firm. "He's currently in opposition, but with the right alliances, he could gain significant influence in the future. Supporting him now will ensure our interests are protected."

The Strategic Alliance

Later that week, Arjun arranged a private meeting with Rajashekar Reddy at a discreet location in Nellore.

Rajashekar Reddy, a charismatic and ambitious leader, listened attentively as Arjun laid out his vision.

"Mr. Reddy, the Congress Party has the potential to regain power. But to achieve that, you need to connect with the youth and the middle class. If we align, I can help you build that narrative," Arjun proposed.

Reddy leaned back, his eyes narrowing. "And in return?"

"Policy support for my ventures and streamlined approvals. Additionally, I have a proposition for the three-capital plan: Hyderabad, Vishakhapatnam, and Nellore. It's a bold move that will resonate with voters across Andhra Pradesh," Arjun explained.

Reddy smiled. "You're quite the strategist, young man. I'll consider it."

Back at the Estate

As the day ended, Arjun returned to the Amarasinghe Estate, where he found Saumya Ananya Chowdary waiting for him in the living room. She looked up from the financial reports she was reviewing, her expression a mix of pride and concern.

"You're taking on a lot, Arjun," she said softly. "Are you sure you're ready for this?"

Arjun sat beside her, his tone calm but resolute. "I have to be. Every move I make now determines the future. Ours and everyone who relies on us."

Ananya smiled faintly, placing a reassuring hand on his. "Then I'll be here, every step of the way."

Arjun nodded, the weight of his responsibilities feeling a little lighter with her by his side.
