Chapter 6

As Chén Lónɡ and Chairman Wù finished their handshake, the room seemed to hold its breath. Mèng Lónɡ watched with a mixture of curiosity and concern, still trying to process the events that had just unfolded.

Chén Lónɡ turned to Chairman Wù, his eyes narrowing slightly. "What do you know about JinHai Auto Parts?" he asked.

Chairman Wù leaned forward, his expression respectful. "JinHai, sir? They're in trouble, financially. Been struggling to stay afloat."

Chén Lónɡ nodded, his expression thoughtful. "I've heard rumors of mismanagement. What do you think?"

Chairman Wù hesitated, choosing his words carefully while stroking his beard thoughtfuly. "I think it's a combination of things, sir. Poor leadership, bad decisions... they've just been unable to compete with the bigger players."

Chén Lónɡ's smile was thin and calculating. "I'm going to take over JinHai. See if I can turn things around."

Chairman Wù nodded, his expression eager. "I'm confident you'll be able to, sir. You have a... unique ability to succeed in challenging situations."

Chén Lónɡ's smile grew wider. "That's one thing you shoul know about me chairman is that I always get things done, Chairman Wù. That's what I do."

Chén Lónɡ's eyes narrowed slightly as he continued staring up into the ceiling deep in thought. "Do they have any debts to The Jade Bank?" he asked.

Chairman Wù nodded, his expression serious. "Yes, sir. JinHai Auto Parts owes the bank over 50 million yuan."

Chén Lónɡ looked at him simply. "Wave the debt as well as the debt for my mother's flower shop," he said, his voice firm.

Chairman Wù's eyes widened slightly, clearly surprised by the request. "Sir?" he repeated, seeking confirmation.

Chén Lónɡ nodded, his expression unyielding. "You heard me, Chairman Wù. Wave the debts. I'll be taking care of JinHai Auto Parts from now on."

Chairman Wù bowed his head, his expression respectful. "As you wish, sir. I'll see to it immediately."

Chén Lónɡ's gaze then shifted to his mother, a brief smile flickering across his face before he turned back to Chairman Wù.

"I'd like to open an account, Chairman Wù," he said, his voice firm. "I'll be depositing 22 million yuan." I'm response to this his mother squeezed his hand gently throwing him a smile of gratitude.

Chairman Wù's eyes widened slightly, but he nodded hastily. "Of course, sir. I'll see to it personally." Chén Lónɡ nodded, his expression unyielding. "And I'd like you to print a card for my mother, linked to this account."

Chairman Wù bowed his head, his expression respectful. "As you wish, sir. I'll have the account set up and the card printed immediately."

Chén Lónɡ stood up, his movements fluid and confident. "Is that all, Chairman Wù?" he asked.

Chairman Wù rose from his seat, a smile spreading across his face. "Actually, Young Master, I'd like to arrange a banquet in your honour with the other shareholders to introduce you as the new owner of The Jade Bank."

Chén Lónɡ's intrest was piqued. "I'm intrested," he said, his eyes narrowing slightly. "When and where will this banquet be taking place?"

Chairman Wù nodded, his expression confident. "I've arranged for the meeting to take place at the Grand Imperial Hotel on Friday at 2 PM."

Chén Lónɡ nodded, his expression thoughtful. "I'll be there, Chairman Wù. You can count on it."

Chairman Wù bowed his head, his expression respectful. "I'll make sure everything is in order, Young Master. I'll see you on Friday. He said holding out the newly printed card out to Chén Lóng.

Chén Lónɡ reached for the card that Chairman Wù was holding, intending to hand it to his mother. But Chairman Wù hesitated, his hand holding the card in mid-air.

"Ah, Young Master," Chairman Wù said, his voice hesitant. "Before we proceed, I wanted to discuss something with you."

Chén Lónɡ's eyes narrowed slightly, his expression curious. "What is it, Chairman Wù?" he asked.

Chairman Wù took a deep breath before speaking. "I was wondering, Young Master, if you would be interested in an arranged marriage?"

Chén Lónɡ's eyes widened in surprise, and his mother, Méng Lóng, let out a surprised laugh before quickly covering her mouth to hold in her giggles. Chén Lónɡ glared at her, his expression stern, before turning back to Chairman Wù.

"That depends," Chén Lónɡ said, his voice measured. "Who would I be marrying?"

Chairman Wù smiled, a hint of nervousness in his eyes. "My eldest daughter Wú Míng," he said, his voice proud.

Chén Lónɡ raised an eyebrow, his expression thoughtful. "Wú Míng" he repeated that's when it cliqued in his mind why the name sounded so familiar.

He knew exactly who Wú Míng was - the famed Northern Beauty, renowned for her breathtaking looks and razor-sharp business acumen.

In his past life, Chén Lónɡ had heard whispers about Wú Míng's stunning beauty: her porcelain skin, her long silver, and her piercing emerald eyes that seemed to gleam with an inner light. She was a true gem, a woman who could captivate a room with a single glance.

But Wú Míng was more than just a pretty face. She was a force to be reckoned with in the business world, serving as the Chairman of the Yungi Group, the largest real estate conglomerate in the country. Her intelligence, strategic thinking, and leadership skills had earned her the respect and admiration of her peers.

Chén Lónɡ's gaze never wavered from Chairman Wù's face as he considered the proposal. "Tell me, Chairman Wù," he said, his voice low and measured showing his disinterest. "What makes you think I'd be interested in marrying your daughter?"

Chairman Wù smiled, his eyes gleaming with anticipation. "Well, Young Master, you're a brilliant businessman and a rising star in the corporate world. My daughter, Wú Míng, is also an exceptional individual - intelligent, beautiful, and a shrewd businesswoman in her own right. I think you two would make a formidable team, both in business and in life."

Chén Lónɡ listened to Chairman Wù's words, his expression unreadable. Then, with a wave of his hand, he dismissed the idea. "I'm not interested in marriage right now, Chairman Wù," he said, his voice firm but polite.

Chairman Wù's face fell, his eyes widening in shock. He looked like a man who had just been slapped. He couldn't believe that Chén Lónɡ would reject the opportunity to marry his daughter, Wú Míng.

"Any man would jump at the chance to marry my daughter," Chairman Wù thought to himself, his mind reeling with incredulity. "She's beautiful, intelligent, and a brilliant businesswoman. What more could a man want?"

He looked at Chén Lónɡ, trying to understand what was going through his mind. But Chén Lónɡ's expression was inscrutable, giving away nothing.

Chairman Wù's eyes narrowed deep in thought, his mind racing with thoughts. "Chén Lónɡ must be a man of immense power and prestige and not only wealth," he thought to himself. "A man who would reject the opportunity to marry my daughter, Wú Míng, must be someone who is truly beyond my reach."

He looked at Chén Lónɡ with a mixture of awe and trepidation, wondering what kind of man could be so mighty that his daughter wouldn't be worthy of him.

Soon after that had concluded the rest of their business in his office. Chairman Wù escorted Chén Lónɡ and his mother, Méng Lóng, outside, flanked by two imposing bodyguards who walked discreetly behind them.

As they reached the entrance, Chairman Wù bowed deeply before Chén Lónɡ. "Thank you for your business, Young Master," he said, his voice filled with gratitude. "I'm honored to have had the opportunity to work with you."

Chén Lónɡ nodded graciously, accepting the chairman's thanks. Chairman Wù smiled, a hint of excitement in his eyes. "I've prepared a small gift for you, Young Master," he said, snapping his fingers.

His secretary, who had been waiting discreetly in the background, rushed forward holding a small, exquisite wooden box adorned with intricate carvings.

Chairman Wù took the box from his secretary and handed it to Chén Lónɡ. "Please, accept this humble gift," he said, his eyes shining with sincerity.

Chén Lónɡ's curiosity was piqued as he opened the box. Inside, he found a sleek, black car key.

"What is it?" Chén Lónɡ asked, his eyes locked on the key.

Chairman Wù smiled, his face filled with pride. "It's a Pagani Huayra, Young Master," he said, his voice filled with reverence. "A rare and exquisite vehicle, from my personal collection."

Chén Lónɡ's eyes widened in surprise, impressed by the chairman's generosity. Chén Lónɡ bowed slightly, his eyes locked on Chairman Wù's. "Thank you, Chairman Wù," he said, his voice filled with gratitude. "Your generosity is overwhelming."

Chairman Wù waved his hand, trying to brush off Chén Lónɡ's praise. "It's nothing, Young Master," he said, smiling. "Just a small token of our newfound partnership."

Chén Lónɡ smiled, nodding his head in appreciation. He turned to his mother, Méng Lóng, and together they walked towards the sleek, black Pagani Huayra.

As they drove away, Chairman Wù watched them leave, a thoughtful expression on his face. He took out his phone and dialed a number, waiting for the call to connect.

After a moment, he spoke, his voice low and serious. "Wú Míng, my daughter... we have much to discuss."

The chairman continues watching the pair driving away with a pensive look on his face.

" I might have just found you your future husband and a way to secure our families future".
