After the death of the Council leader Magnus, Dante and Kaelene felt a moment of relief. However, this peace was short-lived. As the city continued to collapse, something from the roots of darkness was very powerful and close.
As Dante and Kaelene made their way through the ruins, doubts echoed in their minds with every step. "It can't be that easy," Kaelene said. "Even though we killed Magnus, it would be a big mistake to think that all is lost."
Dante nodded tensely but determinedly, continuing on his way. "If there is still something left, we will go all the way. This will be our last fight."
However, a moment later, a mysterious figure appeared before them, leaving them both frozen. Umbra, the goddess of the ancient civilization, the true leader of the Council, the one who watched them…
Umbra was a woman whose face was covered in darkness, but there was an old pain in her eyes. "It seems that after a very long journey, you are finally here."
---
Umbra's Rise
Kaelene stepped back nervously. "You... aren't you dead?!" Umbra was the true face of the Council, and she had never disappeared. She had simply hidden behind everything, hiding her power.
Umbra bowed her head with a cold smile. "Yes, I died. But death was only the beginning for me. The secret and power of darkness had been with me all this time. You, Dante, Kaelene... have been mere subcontractors. The real test begins now."
Dante advanced, arming himself with his weapons. "We have come to stop you once more. You have killed so many people, and you will pay for it."
Umbra stepped towards them with a cold gaze. "There will only be one person who wins this war. That person will be... me."

Last Stand
Umbra's power continued to shake the city. Darkness surrounded everything, enveloping everything. Kaelene raised her hand to cast a spell that tried to melt everything, but Umbra countered her with a powerful dark energy.
"If you want to stop me, you must do much more," Umbra said, her eyes glowing.
Dante quickly got up from the ground and began firing his pistols. However, the bullets could not penetrate the dark barrier around Umbra. Umbra quickly closed the distance between them and threw Dante. Kaelene held him, opening her eyes to see how badly he was hurt.
"No… we can't do this!" Kaelene shouted, but Dante nodded, smiling bloodily.
"Let's end this," Dante said, a dark determination in his eyes.
---
Facing the Darkness
Umbra raised her hand to give them the final blow with her dark energy. "You will be erased forever. Your mind, your soul… all of it will be consumed by the darkness."
As Kaelene gathered her magic for a final stand, Dante took a step forward and drew his pistols again. But this time, he had decided to fight not with the power of a weapon alone, but with his own soul.
"Kaelene… don't," Dante said, looking at Kaelene with one last hope. "Only I can end this. No matter the outcome, I want you to stay here."
Kaelene saw the determination in Dante's eyes and bowed her head through tears. "I want to be with you, but losing you…" she muttered.
"Don't stay with me, Kaelene," Dante said. "My path ends here."

The Great Sacrifice
Dante gathered all his strength and launched an attack against Umbra's dark energy. However, Umbra's power was too great, and Dante's body was not enough to resist it. However, Dante momentarily surprised Umbra and threw all his weapons towards her heart.
Umbra was stunned for a moment, but quickly recovered and tore Dante apart. Dante's eyes found Kaelene one last time, and with his last breath he said, "Jackpot."
---
Finally...
Kaelene, unable to hold back her tears, collapsed to the ground immediately after Dante's death. Smiling, Umbra tore Dante's body apart with a single hand gesture. "It seems your time has come," Umbra said, looking at Kaelene.
Kaelene stood up with one last ounce of strength. "I will end this," she said.
But before Umbra could see Kaelene's final move, she knocked him down once more. The darkness that had surrounded Kaelene's body had swallowed her forever.
Darkness engulfed the world. Umbra, the leader of the council, had finally emerged victorious. In the end, nothing had changed. With the loss of Dante and Kaelene, the darkness had slowly begun to swallow the world.
Everything was plunged into an endless silence under Umbra's dominion. All that remained was lost hope and darkness itself.

The End.
