Chapter 73: The Shura Blood Blade

Chapter 73: The Shura Blood Blade

"Who the hell is so inconsiderate as to build such a high wall!"

Mu Feng stared at the towering 15-16-meter-high wall, utterly disheartened. With his current cultivation level, he could barely leap seven or eight meters.

"Kid, this time, let's see where you can run!"

Wu Bao, leading a group of men, sneered as they encircled Mu Feng.

Instead of panicking, Mu Feng's expression grew calm. His gaze fixed on Wu Bao, his eyes cold and sharp.

"Kill!"

Wu Bao waved his hand, and his group charged forward.

"Victory favors the brave in dire straits. Father, bless me!"

Gripping his battle blade tightly, Mu Feng murmured a silent prayer before roaring and rushing towards the dozen attackers.

Swoosh!

A streak of white light shot out from his chest like an arrow, striking one of the attackers.

Hiss!

It was a three-foot-long snake that sank its fangs into a man's eye. The man screamed in agony as venom surged into his body, causing him to collapse in spasms.

"Roar!"

The snake, Little Tian, grew larger, its body extending to seven or eight meters in length, as thick as a human thigh. It lunged at a Yellow Tiger Gang member, biting down on his neck and coiling tightly around him.

Crack! Crack!

Bones shattered under the snake's terrifying strength. The man coughed up blood and fell lifelessly.

"A beast!"

The gang members recoiled in fear. Among them, even a Purple Core Stage expert swung his blade at Little Tian, but the attack merely left a shallow mark on its white scales.

Little Tian retaliated with a powerful lash of its tail, smashing one man's skull clean off his body, sending it flying dozens of meters. Another was engulfed in a frost breath, instantly frozen solid, only to shatter into pieces upon hitting the ground.

"Kill that beast!" Wu Bao roared, his anger palpable.

With over 30 men under his command, to be reduced to just over 10 by a teenager and a snake was an unbearable humiliation. If he failed to kill Mu Feng today, he'd have no face left in the gang.

The remaining gang members turned their focus on Little Tian, leaving Wu Bao to duel Mu Feng one-on-one.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

Their battle blades clashed fiercely, sparks flying as the alley resounded with the sound of steel. Blade energy slashed the walls, leaving deep scars.

Nearby residents, hearing the commotion, shut their doors and windows tight, not daring to peek outside.

Splat!

Mu Feng staggered back, blood dripping from a gash on his chest. He was no match for Wu Bao, who was in the peak Purple Core Stage.

"Heh, kid, I'll enjoy slicing you apart slowly." Wu Bao grinned cruelly.

Mu Feng stared coldly at him, secretly reaching out to the Shura Divine Jade with his mind.

"Yue'er, think of something!" he pleaded internally.

"I can't help you. You'll have to rely on yourself now. The Divine Jade has absorbed a lot of blood energy recently. See if you can summon the Shura Blade," Yue's voice advised.

Wu Bao charged again with a roar. Mu Feng hurled his last four talismans at him, their blue light streaking through the air.

Wu Bao dodged quickly, knowing their explosive power wasn't to be underestimated.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The talismans exploded, forcing Wu Bao back several steps.

Seizing the moment, Mu Feng channeled every bit of energy from his three Qi cyclones into the Shura Divine Jade, activating one of its divine patterns.

The pattern absorbed his Qi and drew on the stored blood energy. A beam of blood-red light shot out, and the Shura Divine Jade burst into radiance, manifesting as a massive battle blade in Mu Feng's hands.

The blade was an imposing five feet long—nearly half as tall as Mu Feng himself. Its handle, two feet in length, was etched with dragon-scale-like ridges for a secure grip. The handguard resembled dragon fangs, and its slightly curved blade was adorned with blood-red markings that exuded a chilling aura.

The weapon's sheer weight exceeded a thousand pounds, making it incredibly unwieldy for Mu Feng, who struggled to lift it.

"What a treasure! This is at least a Tier-3 artifact!" Wu Bao's eyes gleamed with greed as he charged at Mu Feng.

"Die, kid!"

Gritting his teeth, Mu Feng mustered all his strength to swing the Shura Blood Blade. His Qi reserves were completely drained, but the blade released a terrifying burst of blood-red energy.

Clang!

Wu Bao's weapon shattered under the blade's might, and the blood-red energy cleaved through his body, slicing him cleanly in half before crashing into the alley wall, leaving a gaping hole.

"Boss Wu!"

The remaining gang members froze in horror. Seeing Mu Feng standing amidst the carnage, clutching the blood blade, they panicked and fled.

Little Tian, battered and bleeding, crawled over to Mu Feng, who collapsed onto the cold ground, utterly spent.

The Shura Blood Blade reverted to its jade form, resting in Mu Feng's hand as Little Tian coiled protectively around him.

A weary smile spread across Mu Feng's face.

"Damn it, this blade is insane!"
