Chapter 130: Reuniting with Wan'er
After Mu Ye and the other escorts departed, the new students, numbering about a thousand, began to gather in the plaza. Most were between fourteen and eighteen years old. The majority had reached the ninth level of the Tongmai Stage, while only a few had stepped into the Zifu Stage.
With such a large intake of students each year, Tianyun Academy must have generated immense profits solely from tuition fees.
The plaza buzzed with activity as the new recruits, under the supervision of stewards clad in green uniforms, awaited further instructions.
On the raised platform at the plaza's center stood a tall, imposing man in a blue robe. His eyes glowed faintly red, exuding authority. His deep voice rang out like a bell:
"Silence!"
The noisy crowd immediately quieted, their attention fixed on the man.
"I am Zheng Yue Sheng, Grand Elder of Tianyun Academy's Outer Court. From today, you are all students of the Outer Court. The academy provides master instructors, advanced techniques, and profound skills. Those who reach the Condensed Qi Stage and enter the Inner Court will gain access to the academy's best resources. Many of our graduates have become formidable experts, including numerous Yuan Core-level cultivators."
The Grand Elder's eyes swept over the eager young faces as he continued, "At the academy, rules must be obeyed. The most critical of these is ironclad: no killing fellow students. Violating this rule means certain death, regardless of your background—even if you are royalty."
His piercing gaze made the weight of this decree clear.
"Now, distribute the Blue Crystal Cards."
At his command, the green-robed stewards began handing out blue cards to each student. When Mu Feng received his, he noted the intricate runes etched on its surface, though its purpose remained unclear.
After the cards were distributed, Zheng Yue Sheng explained, "These Tianyun Cards track your academic points. Each of you starts with 100 points. Points are required for everything—buying Yuan artifacts, accessing training formations, borrowing techniques from the library, or learning new skills. You will soon learn how to earn points. Now, stewards, take the students to their dormitories."
The stewards divided the students into groups and led them to the residential areas. Mu Feng and the other Southern Ling recruits followed one of the green-robed stewards.
Meanwhile, several senior students in blue uniforms had arrived at the plaza, scanning the crowd for newcomers from their families. Among them were two women searching intently.
One wore a sky-blue dress, her elegant beauty radiant and her gaze clear like autumn waters. Her skin was as fair as snow, her aura ethereal. The other wore a sleek black dress that hugged her tall, curvaceous figure. Her dark red hair cascaded over her shoulders, giving her a striking, exotic allure.
The two women's presence immediately drew the attention of many freshmen, their admiration palpable.
"Wow, what stunning beauties!"
"They must be senior students."
As the two women moved through the crowd, Mu Feng and his group followed their steward, also keeping an eye out for familiar faces.
"Brother Feng, didn't you say your fiancée is here? Where is she?" Bai Ziyue asked, scanning the area.
"So many people—how can we find her? Watch this!" said Mu Kuang.
Without hesitation, Mu Kuang leapt seven or eight meters into the air, shouting at the top of his lungs: "Sister Ling'er! Sister Wan'er! Brother Feng is here!"
The shout immediately drew everyone's attention, silencing the entire plaza.
"There! Sister Ling'er, it's Mu Kuang. If he's here, Brother Feng must be too!" Yun Qingwan exclaimed excitedly.
"It's that troublemaker Mu Kuang! If he's here, Xiao Feng must be close by. Let's go!" Mu Ling'er said, hurrying toward the source of the commotion.
Mu Kuang landed and blushed furiously under the weight of the crowd's stares, while Mu Feng couldn't help but wince at his bold antics.
"Feng!"
"Xiao Feng!"
Two familiar, clear voices rang out. Mu Feng turned to see the two women approaching. His heart skipped a beat as his gaze softened, a smile spreading across his face.
"Wan'er! Sister!" Mu Feng called out, his joy evident. The two women's eyes glistened with tears as they ran toward him.
Mu Feng opened his arms wide, enveloping both women in a heartfelt embrace. The scene drew countless envious and admiring glances.
"Who's that guy? How's he got two senior students throwing themselves at him?"
"Unfair! I'm so handsome and dashing, but no senior has ever looked my way!"
In that moment, Mu Feng became the target of many envious glares.
"I've missed you both so much," Mu Feng said, his voice tinged with emotion as he inhaled the familiar fragrance of the two women. His eyes reddened slightly.
"You brat! I wrote to you for over a year, but you never replied. People even said you were dead!" Mu Ling'er scolded, punching him lightly.
Wan'er, her eyes equally red, asked softly, "Feng, are you alright? They said something terrible happened to you, but I never believed it."
"Sorry, sorry," Mu Feng said, holding them both tightly. "It's a long story. I'll tell you everything later. Sister, Wan'er, you're both even more beautiful after two years," he teased, planting a kiss on Wan'er's cheek.
Wan'er's face turned crimson as she pinched his waist. "Everyone's watching," she murmured.
Mu Ling'er chuckled, covering her mouth. "You silver-tongued devil."
"Good to see you again, Sister Ling'er," Mu Kuang greeted warmly.
"You've grown stronger, Mu Kuang. Stick with me, and I'll introduce you to some lovely senior students," Ling'er joked, pinching his cheek.
"Don't forget me, Sister Ling'er. I'm Bai Ziyue, Brother Feng's brother. Include me in the introductions!" Bai Ziyue chimed in.
"Let go of my sister, Mu Feng!"
A cold voice interrupted the moment. A group of figures approached, led by Yun Yi and Nan Ling. The group surrounded a white-robed youth, who exuded an air of arrogance.
Mu Feng's gaze turned icy as he locked eyes with the newcomers.
